do you enjoy having money or spending money?
kind of thought of it after Ms.G's thread on the lottery thingy.
see i don't really enjoy having money to have money which makes saving it a real pain in the arse for me which is something i should really do.
But I do enjoy spending money. i love to buy things for myself, for my mom, friends, girlfriends etc. (i dont spend much on when i have boyfriends thuogh.)
anyways do you prefer to save money and tuck it away for later or does it burn a hole in your pocket/purse as soon as you get it?
Re: do you enjoy having money or spending money?
A little of both.
Money in the bank means nothing if you don't have fun in life.
So I try to save a decent amount, but I also like to spend money
on fun things. I have a rule to never spend more than half
of the total amount in my bank at the time.
So if I have $500 saved, I can only spend $250.
But the same would be true if the amount was $100,000.
I wouldn't spend more than $50,000. So I'd always have
at least that 50% savings in the bank in case I needed it.

It's only money, they print it every day
I do save a little bit though
Re: do you enjoy having money or spending money?
I save it for later. I have a basic rule like DK's where I only spend so much of my money, but it's more on the line of I try not to let my checking account fall below a certain amount. I already have 2 savings accounts I put money in that I don't touch.
But at the same time I have almost no credit and hate loans, so that money will end up being used to buy a new car or make a hell of a nice down payment on a house if I ever decide to live in one.

You see that dollar bill in your wallet. Somebody has scratched their asshole with bare fingers just before handing it to a clerk who gave you exact bill back as a change. Think about it.
Money is dirty.
Re: do you enjoy having money or spending money?
a little of both. if its in my pocket, it will burn a hole, but if its put away, it usually stays there.
Re: do you enjoy having money or spending money?
see im kinda like that with change. if it's less than a quarter, i just toss it into my little cauldron i have on my tv but if it's more it's gone as soon as find something to spend it on.
Re: do you enjoy having money or spending money?
its a bit of both. my bills and rent get paid first, then i use the rest to buy nonsense i probably didnt need to have.

Re: do you enjoy having money or spending money?
Like most people, a bit of both. I allot myself one frivolous purchase per month, after my major bills are paid.
Re: do you enjoy having money or spending money?
I pretty much hate fiscal concerns. I find it very difficult to be motivated by money and it always seems like a magic trick to me that it is possible to give someone money and have them do something they do not want to do.
I like to be able to have the things I want -- mostly delicious food, comfortable travel, and intriguing lessons and adventures -- and I like to be able to accomplish the projects I wish to. Money facilitates those things.
But it has taken me a long time to get myself to be able to evaluate and consider ROI in my decisions and I don't enjoy it.

Amilia stayin' true to her roots ITT.
I don't much care for money. I acknowledge its usefulness on a practical level, but I think the world would be better off without it. I'm never much impressed with spending it either; it seems like a lazy cop out, like cheating myself out of the experience of achieving something by my own abilities, and it rarely buys anything memorably rewarding.
None of the nice things I have were bought as-is. Occasionally I'll buy a tool or basic item to work on, but if I don't appreciate them much until I've done my own things with them. Buying things like entry to a party, concert or festival always bugs me too; I don't like the idea of having places I can only go on conditions placed by others. I'd much rather sneak in to them (getting on the guest list is acceptable, but also kinda lazy) and do so whenever I see the opportunity, even if the entry free is insignificant. It just feels better that way.
Re: do you enjoy having money or spending money?
I like having lots of money but i dont waste it on myself only.
I love making my family and friends happy.
Im not a greedy person.
What the fuck is the joys of having money if you cant share it with the poeple you care about the most?
