Have you ever used a dreamcatcher?

There was a dreamcatcher in a book I just read and I was given one for my birthday. Supposedly they work to catch the bad dreams, even if you do not believe in them.

Have you ever used a dreamcatcher?

I used to make them but never personally believed in them. Now if they made something that stopped you from having sleep paralysis I would be pretty damn happy!

I've aclutally seen one or two real ones............made out of whatever kind of sticks sticks, blessed by a real medicine man, with the proper feathers............if you go to that much trouble for bad dreams then why shouldn't it work? they are only dreams

Yeah. I made my own, and it looks nothing like a traditional dream catcher. It looks like a bizarre mobile with a bunch of weird shit like hair and bones in it.

Yea, I have a wicked dream catcher. I've had it forever. It doesn't help with bad dreams but it looks nice.

but i like the bad dreams. they are often the most entertaining!

i'd worry that if i used a dreamcatcher that it would act as some kind of filter and leave me with only the less interesting dreams. as i believe that my dreams are often trying to tell me something, have some meaning to them, and i draw a lot of inspiration from them, that anything that gets in their way - for good or ill - should be avoided.

Apparently dreamcatchers don't stop aliens.

They look kinda cool. I may make one of my own and pretend it filters the boring dreams out instead.

I don't see why you couldn't use it for exactly that reason....
I use mine as a sort of filter actually.

i have a white handkerchief with a green lace butterfly from when i was younger that my mom put in my pillow to catch bad dreams :p:
