whats your worst workday ever?

mine: I have two.

today-some lady came in for some layaway art pieces which I was called up to find-couldn't find them, the saleperson she had quit, nobody knew where they were-the manager was around kissing up to the owner of the store and after twenty minutes of scouring the store(which is the size of an art gallery) and scrubbing through all of our rack art and warehouse racks, the manaager comes to the back, asks me wahts up-I tell him and he calmly walks over to a rack covered in cardboard-pulls out the paintings I've been looking for and goes out back to smoke a cigarette.

the other day was when I worked for adult viideo and was rubbed at gunpoiint by some kid not even old enough to buy cigarettes holding an ak-47 in my face. I wanted to beat his ass to a pulp.

EVERYDAY i HATE my job!!!

oh well its just pocket money anyway really lets face it at least the money all goes on drink and having fun rather than bills and stuff like that I can apply for a transfer when i finally do go to uni (stupid art based degrees needing foundation courses pushing my fees up by £3000 a year grrrrrrr)

working as a mascot for some thing at toys r us that was fucking miserable but my costume did freak out some kids which lead to interesting moments

I was working at a bank. This idiot customer kept losing his bank card. He'd order a new one and then find the old one and would get pissed when he'd find out his card had been deactivated and he should wait for the new one to come in. He'd get really annoying and I just wanted to walk outside to the drive thru window and beat the shit out of him.

I was a prep cook at this restaurant, this was ten years ago. I was 18 at the time and I had stayed-up all night tripping my balls-off and I had to be at work at 6:30am. So I show up and first off this other prep cook starts cutting up a 50lb. bag of white onions on a mechanical slicer with a fan blowing the onion smell towards me. My eyes were stinging so fucking bad. I'm still totally fucked-up, hating life then I'm told I had to prep a 50lb bag of calamari about 5 feet from the onions. If you have never seen raw calamari, it's totally nasty. To prep it you have to rip the mouth and entrails out. The smell was fucking rude and it was the so disgusting (I'm a vegitarian). I was halucinating really bad on these calamari I was almost sick. Then when I started to crash I felt so nasty and my hands smelt like fish. It was not only one of the worst days at work it was also one of the worst days of my life.

I was working on a drain in a condo today and it dropped , into the condo underneath, management cant let me in to fix it cause the place was sold and they dont have a contact for the knew owners at the moment, actualy that isn't so bad, last week I had a customer that was watching me work with his grion 10 inches from my face, after a while of that and other stuff I had to tell him , buddy I'm going to pack up my tools and get out of here I just cant work for you
come to think of it I have lots of worst days , in fact when I have a good day I'm suprised

i got fired today :(

they layed off a ton of people and i was new i was only workin there for like 2 and a half weeks lol

when i was punched in the face, robbed and locked in the toilet by 2 junkies who robbed the porn shop i work at. then when i rang the boss the first words out of his mouth was "what did they get?" i had great pleasure letting the cops take a bunch of magazines "for fingerprints". he never got em back. the dumb fuck hasnt even repaired the damage to the back of the shop and its a year and a half later.

I feel ya man, I've worked at a porn shop before...a real ramshack one down the road. It sucks. especially if they have an arcade and theatre section...having to clean all that shit up-we used to have guys camp out in the booths and piss in the trashcans while they stood mouth first in front of the "ventilation" holes in the wall.

long time ago when i was relativly new to baking, i was doing the rounds for a local Atl bread,and i was kinda pissed one night,got there before the night crew left....

we got REALLY drunk,i had sex with my chick (at the time) in the freezer(an awesome story goes with that),and one of the people passed out...

so we rushed her home and got her stable,before we knew t it was the morning,and we had left the entire place a wreck,open offices,ect...

dough thrown everywhere,NO bread ,pastry's baked...looked like a tornado went through the place.....

we all got fired,i didn't car becuse i bake for different palces all the time,but the night shift was pretty fucked.......

i thought it was kinda cool.......
