Do you commit to a philosophy of vampirism (I believe I can drain energy from psychic/aura etc fields, I believe I gain energy from drinking blood) or do you really believe you're a hundred year old vampire?
Here's a hot tip: People who think they are vampires or tell people that they are vampires or spell vampire in creative ways to make it seem more authentic or whatever are douches. You'll get more ass and people will like you more if you don't try to pretend to be some sort of all important supernatural creature o de night.
If you fly into my bedroom tonight as a bat and transform into a totally awesome vampire-robot and like drain my aura and shit I totally deserve it.
People have asked me to believe in much crazier things than vampires. Like any other my answer will always be, show me.
Like the bible, I have read too much on vampires to accept their existence at face value. For them to exist in modern society, they would have to be so far off of any of the legendary vampires as to make the name meaningless.
I wont trash someone for believing they are a vampire any more than I will trash them for being a catholic. Both believe in things they cannot prove, until those beliefs interfere with the lives of others, keep on believing them. VampyD, if you have some truth to lay out, feel free. Just be willing to except a critical eye on it. Or a lot of smartassery and friendly abuse.
And damn if this board hasn't given me a soft spot for DJ Bobo. As near as I can tell he is making a living as a profession LARPer with choreography. I mean, when you look at it that way, how can you not love the guy just a little.
All you guys wait! Don't you realize that just cause you may not believe in vampires dose not mean they can't exist? We have various religions all over the world that think there is this thing called god by an other name its still a belief, and what right do we have to challenge the belief in god or vampire. Ones individuality is found not in this pack mentality of lets hate on the vampire belief or how about lets hate on the wicca's or the solitary witch or satanist, I thought this place was a refuge from all that hate from those who do not understand that fine line between status quo and the true nature of an individual even if the individual belief maybe insane or thought of being mentally unstable set that aside, and think of it from your individual in vitro perspective.
It's one thing to believe in a religion, but thinking you're a vampire? Obviously there's only two reasons why. One is he's an idiot and a liar thinking it would sound cool for him to say he's a vampire on a social board, or two, he's an idiot and he actually thinks he can survive off of nothing but the blood of other people, so maybe he'll die soon. Either way, he's still an idiot.
Oh, and Vampyrs do exist. There's still copies of the movie Vampyr, a decent, but really good for the time it was released in 1932, French vampire movie.
