was just wondering that because we got a big block of tofu at the store the other day cus we're trying new things and it's pretty fucking good. but i was wondering being as tofu is like not meat or anything do you have to cook it?
awesomeness. yeah Im actually quite impressed wiht it form what i've had so far. mom usd it in a salad the other night with soba noodles, edamame (which i love) and bean sprouts. I'm thinking of having some with my ramen today and some sririchan sauce on top of it. that stuff is fucking good
if you are going to cook it, even if you buy the firm kind it's still going to be pretty spongey. So wrap it in a paper towel or regular towel and put something heavy on it (not too heavy, you don't want to squash the thing) and let it sit for like 1/2 to an hour before you cook it. that will help get rid of the excess water and make it firm up more.
it's good with your favorite sauce and then just slap it in the oven till it get's a little crispy.
I like to fry it in a pan and then put terikyaki sauce on it and eat it with rice and veggies.
