it's a little tricky to really go into details about what exactly makes a good horror movie or scary one because eveyrone has different percepitons to what's scary or not.

I don't even think i watch scary movies anymore to be scared mainly cus i've seen so many of them. it would help to know what you find scary though first .

and yeah kess, idle hands is a bit cheesy but I thought it was hillarious.

I don't personally know anybody that watches horror movies to be scared these days - mostly it's more out of morbidity and a preference for dark imagery from outside the tedious spectrum of everyday reality. I'm told that japanese 'undefined, invisible force of evil' movies are often perceived as scary, but I tend to find them relatively boring myself.
