Sorry about the late reply. tatdownthere, thanks. TheQuietPlace, I didn't use gel at all. I used elmers glue. Just regular elmers glue and a hair dryer. Since that pic was taken I had my friend give me dread locks.

Actually hot water and repeated washings with regular shampoo usually did the trick. Sometimes there would still be a huge chunk of glue still stuck in my hair but that never bothered me.

I've always been a fan of Aquanet for putting up other people's hawks. I used to regularly give mohawks at the parties my punk rock group house threw in DC. I pretty much didn't drink, so I could be counted on to do a good straight line. And I owned clippers.

Lol Aquanet is all i can use now. My hawk is so long I have to spray and blowdry, and it takes forever. But once its up, its up!

I can't get mine beyond 4 inch, because my hair is too thin.
When I was little and had my first hawk, I raised it with egg white foam and hair spray, because I was too poor for a hair dryer, heh.

I don't think I've ever seen one in person done with egg white. Or maybe I just think I would smell breakfast or something, but really I wouldn't.

It's a nice solid base. What sucks are the flakes, makes people think it's scall. I didn't care tho, I was sorta crustpunk anyway ,p

I've done the egg whites and Aqua-net before. As long as you don't spend all day in the sun it doesn't smell. Wow...memories...

I have a pic of me where I'm like 15, with mohawk and drinking beer on a market place. I got my nose broken like 10 minutes after it was taken, heh.

I had a Johnny Rotten red(that's what we called the colour back then) mohawk when i was 19. My mother disowned me on the spot.

    Nice 'hawk, fiend!
