It is fairly natural for you to feel overwhelmed. It is difficult for me to filter the amount of information available. My blog never had more than 30K unique visits in a month, but I was even hesitant to pontificate. Another aspect is that people tend to misread a lot of text on the inet. I wish it was a generally accepted rule that this is not "prime time" (you have expressed this concern, which I believe to be valid). Believe me, it would be impossible for anyone to completely sift thru any genre.

Write when it strikes your fancy. Don't expect perfection when it comes to a specific interest. You are under no obligation. I operated from a much smaller niche. There was no way I could speak with authority on any of it. You just be reasonable with your expectations for your/others' writing.

I feel the same way about the net sometimes. It's hard to know/find/be able to relate to like minded people when the sheer numbers are so overwhelming.

I don't know if I'd want to have your job. The options are as you said mind boggling.

I rarely quote shakespeare but I feel it apropos:

I have noticed you have been writing much more and I feel it's wonderful that you feel you want to write even more. It's a great way to express your feelings and if it touches someone else, all the better. You have your audience in the back of your mind as I am sure anyone in your position would. Though I feel you have to get beyond this a write for yourself. If someone gets it, fine, if not, that's alright too. You are one person, you do an exceptional job here. Forrest is there for you and I am sure he is quite inspiring. I would assume you two push eachother for the greater good. You just need to enjoy this more and not make it so agonizing. You've come a long way and to still be doing this in 2006, that's a testament to your longevity.
