Re: Scars . . . and what they mean to me.
I have one main scar on my forehead. It happened about 9 years ago, when I was doing what was considered to be LARP, using Laser Tag equipment. We were meant to be "Colonial Marines" doing various missions. In one mission, I was cornered by an "Alien" and had a choice stay and die or run and survive. Whilst dodging the attack, I ran but was off-balance and hit a wall corner, edged with metal. Scar is about 3 inches long from my "third eye" to my right eyebrow.
I had a school friend that was Hyper-thyroid, and had many scars, one of which was on his throat, Kurgan-style. He also had one on his left wrist (not self inflicted) that had cut the heat nerves in the back of his hand. he had many a cigarette burn from people that didn't believe that he couldn't feel heat on his hand.
