Uh oh, I was thinking like that chick flick Somebody Or Other's Diary. I was surprised at how much I like Twilight, but the TV show you describe sounds like a horror show. And not the good kind of horror show.

you are aware that there was a series of books called "the vampire diaries" way back in the early nineties? they were aimed at teenagers. the few i read struck me as more romance 'novels' than horror fiction in any way.

Missed those somehow. Probably because paranormal romance without extreme sex in it would have to be promoted on the level of Twilight before I'd be super likely to have it trip my meter.
