    Default dealing with constant rejection

Another job interview. For a job I didn't get. Supposedly because I don't have enough experience of the business world in order to work as a technical writer.

    Whatever.

I need cheering up. I think i'm gonna go out and kill someone.

i never understood how places expect you to be hired and have experiance..if they never let you try.

    its like playing RPG's.
"well..i wana play diablo but i dont have enough experiance yet...but how am i to get experiance if i cant play?"

fucking double standards. thats why i started working from home *_*
goodluck though on your next one if it counts for anything... :\

I like the places that tell me I have "Too Much" Experience. How is that even possible?

When I hear that.. I think.. "This company is making shitty products/offering shitty services.. etc ... I don't want to work here anyway"

hell id do like Volta said ,start your own business, work for your self .
just find what your best at and love too do and go for it ,whats the worst that can happen,,humm you can fire your self for slackin on the job ,then hirer your self back with a raise because you the only one with the EXPERICANCE to do the Job!

then go back to some of the place's that didn't hire you with that experience and make better money doing those jobs..

I'm sure sooner or later some one will hire you ,you seem like a very experienced writer..
just need a niche ,,or a hook ..

Best of luck tho in any thing you try for .

obviously you dont have enough experience to lie, make up a bunch of shit, but try to make it sound real , if they really know what they want you'll see them seeing through your bullshit and then you move to a different aproach

hehe the fake it ,till ya make it approach hehe....

that's good Mr K ,,but i think he's a honest guy and his integrity would then be in question . But it wouldn't be the first time for some peeps ,and this is a job hes talkin bout . They find out ya lied they'll fire ya ,unless your really good then you demand a raise ! For showing how quick you are to do the job ,your learning skills and basically the ball's for doing the snow job on them ..

of course im not sayin to do it hehehe

i've been doing this on and off for TWELVE FUCKING YEARS now, pardon my Dutch. and quite frankly i am getting tired of the bullshit answers from interviewers as to why they don't need my services. also getting very tired of assholes at gummint employment services shaking their heads sadly and muttering "I can't understand why you're still unemployed, with your skill base."

IT'S BECAUSE I'M A FREAK. OK? STOP DANCING AROUND IT. I'M A FREAK and there IS NO NICHE for me in conventional society.

i should put THAT on my resume. heh.

incidentally, i'm a lot cheerier today.. you have to expect a bit of a rollercoaster when you let yourself get your hopes up.

one of the problems, the interviewer said, was the gaps in my resume - periods of a year or so when i was between jobs and frantically looking for work.

so i've decided i am going to lie, lie through my teeth, LIE LIE LIE like a politician. when i'm done there will be perhaps five words of truth in my resume; my name and my mobile phone number. the rest will be pure grade-A HORSESHIT, carefully crafted so no-one can say it's not true.

hey, did i tell y'all i worked in the Northern Territory for ten months in 1997, helping Aboriginal tribespeople build low-cost housing? it's true!

no, it's not. but i defy an interviewer to tell me that to my face.

i really like the idea of dressing up as a judge, with robes, wig and gavel. every time they ask a question i'll whack their desk with the gavel and shout "OBJECTION OVERRULED!"

only problem with that, is i'd probably start quoting Mentok the Mind-Taker. ooooEEEEEooooo!

a kinder interpretation of that could be, the interviewer is scared you're after THEIR job. it's just cowardice! of course, snarling "why don't you grow a spine, you fucking JELLYFISH" doesn't endear you to anyone.

what i do is 'extend' the amount of time i worked at each job to close up gaps....

then again i got the first job i ever walked in, and asked 'are you hiring?' (i aimed low, it was a bakery.)

another thing i used to do was make a game out of going to interviews, and part time jobs... i'd just go into an interview to see how much i could get away with, and how much fun i could have... then if they gave me the job, i'd treat it the same way (since i had another gig anyway.) this was my fun... i'd work the job a week or so, hit on the cute girls. see how many minds i could shut down, get an idea of what was going on, and then move on...

i should start that up again... my current dead end is starting to grate.

ps. compulsive honesty was bred into our generation... it is a weakness.
