No Miss: Black Nail Polish

So, let’s just say I’ve been kinda spooky for quite a long time now, and to be honest, I’ve tried a lot of different black nail polish options. I just like the way black nails look. But, over the years I’ve found it to be really difficult to find a really good solid easy black. When I was younger, I simply resorted to a clear-coat base and just drew on top of that with a Sharpie or a permanent Marksalot, and then went over that again with clear. It actually works very well and looks great, but it’s a bit of a pain really. So, one day while I was poking around the Whole Foods Natural grocery store, I picked up a bottle of Black (#235) by a company called No-Miss, and it’s turned out to be the best black nail polish I’ve ever used. It goes on dead shiny opaque black in one coat, and it isn’t all messy, hence the no-miss name no doubt. It’s formaldehyde free as well as toluene free, which makes the products much more environmentally friendly. Their special formulation also seems to help them get that special slick glossy fast dry no mess No-Miss consistancy. You can pay attention and do an really pro job of it or slap it on all drunkenly punkrock, but either way it always turns out cool and not all watery or thin and gray like a lot of the other products available. The company is really cool too. Their newest product, Almost Natural Polish Remover is even available at Different Daisy, which is a fairly comprehensive online vegan store. I honestly buy three or four bottles of the Black at a time and give them out to friends when we do photoshoots and stuff. It beats markers.
