I've moved a lot over the years and I've lived in a lot of group situations, so I'm had a lot of housemates. I think the largest number at one time was thirteen at my legendary old punk rock group house Cambodia, but it could have been 15 or 16. Not sure if I am thinking of all the people it would have been at once, as opposed to spread out over time.
How about you?
About the same, give or take. Last p-rock house I lived in, I'd say there were upwards of 20 a lot of nights (I don't count this as the previous one had just been served eviction). It really would depend how you defined living with. The house I'm counting had 10 official (including me) and a lot of peccadilloes, s/o, and bands coming through constantly.
Hard to come up with an exact count for a band house where there might be 4 or 5 official members and a lot of girls and volunteer roadies and drug dealers and girls who volunteer road crew and roadie who deal and you get the idea.

My ex and two kids were three, but for a bit there was a fourth roommate in this place now til we kicked him out cause we thought he was a child molestor.

There were about 8 or 9 of us living in a 1 bedroom double for a while.
The bathroom worked (most of the time) and we lived off Ramen and Domino's pizza on friday nights.
I still can't eat Ramen after that fiasco lol
6, or 11 - second year at med school in a rented place which someone had joined to next door by unofficial use of a hammer so I guess both places were the same 'house' for a while. In 8 months I never saw the guy above me once, and only found two others who'd seen him. Quiet dude - communicated entirely via Post-it notes on the door. Probably a serial killer or brain surgeon by now. Or both.
Do roaches count as housemates? If they do I prolly win this one. I used to live above a bar many, many years ago. Aside from the roaches, it was loads of fun!

I'll try to find out when I'm back. I have a friend who was tight with a guy who was a perma-student living there at the end. Need to find that guy + find out what happened from a legal standpoint. You can find places for under 400 still. You won't be seeing 150 anytime ... ever.Quote:
