Best concerts/ shows/ gigs/ festivals you've been to.
I've been to TONS of shows! My top 3:
FUGAZI-University of Guelph ON '92 Loudest show EVER! They were handing out earplugs at the door but me being a snarky ass 16 yr.old was too cool for earplugs. My ears rang for about a month afterward.
REVEREND HORTON HEAT, NICK CAVE AND THE BAD SEEDS, POP WILL EAT ITSELF, MARILYN MANSON, NINE INCH NAILS, SOUNDGARDEN- Barrie ON '94
Outdoor venue, super hot day, front and center with no way out and 35,000 people behind me. Cracked ribs, lost a shoe, Trent spit in my hair (I forgive him). Soundgarden fucking sucked!
BLACK SABBATH (all original) @ OZZFEST-Toronto ON '01
What can I say? Fucking Sabbath man!!

Project 86 always brought down the house for me.

My favorite was MayDay '01 (local festival). It had Nonpoint, Staind and Dick Cheese. But, the concert didn't rock because of the bands, it was an outdoors show, and the entire place was one big mud pit.
I became the Mud Queen from being the only girl to get covered head to toes in dirt from riding the mudslide we created.

I'm going to see Iggy and the Stooges! Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh...
Re: Best concerts/ shows/ gigs/ festivals you've been to.
My favorite show is always my next show. I'm going to She Wants Revenge some time next month.
Haven't seen the Stooges but I saw Iggy on the Blah Blah Blah tour.

Recently went to see Gary Numan, which was excellent! Bauhaus the other year was damn good as well. We also saw Goldfrapp when they supported Duran Duran a few years ago.
One show that could possibly count as a concert was Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. We saw it when it first toured, but couldn't afford to see it last year, when they improved the "Richard Burton" head from a static face to a hologram. If you get the chance to see it, go! It is amazing!

Janes Addiction on the Nothing's Shocking tour at Toad's Place in New Haven definitely makes my list.
I saw a lot of really amazing shows at the old 930 Club in Washington, DC. It is all gentrified now and looks like this:

I've seen a lot of amazing shows over the years.
Recent Shows That Were Mindblowing:
Bauhaus - Cleveland
Jesus and Mary Chain - 2 Nights Straight, The Fillmore, SF
NY Dolls - MPLS
X - MPLS
VAST - MPLS
Rasputina - Was at The Radical Recital in Pittsbugh a few years back.
Many, many, many more. I love live music. Sitting in a p-rock bar in Cleveland watching 18 year old kids jam some power chords was heavenly. Stayed 2 days and fairly blitzed (Unusual for me of late)
OEC
PS: 2nd on Horton Heat. Also The Raveonettes, Saw both at First Ave + 7th St. in MPLS.
PSS: Gogol Bordello in Cambridge, MA. They'll be playing outdoors here rain or shine next week! I'm hoping for rain! Nick Cave this fall. Ok enough. :1orglaugh :thumb:
