Mine's Warhammer 40k, a far future tactical wargame played with miniature army men that I build and paint. Top that Gloom-Nerds!
Hmm, nerdiEST is so hard to have perspective on from inside the asylum. (says the chick who totally did not just post an obit for someone who did fx for fandom flick faves)
I am going to have to go with reading vampires books.
There has to be at least one that is either marginally embarrassing by context ofthe other nerds you share it with (like being a trekkie) or that if you were having a non-nerd over for a hot date you'd put in the closet so as to not have to explain.Quote:

Probably my biggest nerdy hobby is my collection of over 1,000 ebm/industrial/stompy stompy albums. Yea, Im'a fan of hard copy.
I collect rocks from pretty much everywhere I visit - something left in my psyche from taking geology classes in college, and now responsible for half a garage of shelving.
..and no, I have never used "do you wanna see my rock collection?" as any even-vague form of chat up line.
Oh.. (now remembering Amelia's Post above), I forgot to mention that my other hobby is Airbrushing and doing Special FX horror makeup for fun with my friend Dave. He worked on some Troma films. LOL :^)
I Collect postcards. They're pinned up all over my place. My friends think that's pretty nerdy of me. Also I'm a Scrabble junkie.
I play World of Warcraft, Run my own tiny little Role Play Message board, am a HUGE Trekkie... and much much more....
I don't have many hobbies, I devote most of my time to making music, of course my expansive knowledge of music theory and synthesizer programming probably qualifies as nerdy, but at least it's useful.
well, you do have an avatar that is a Superman 2/ Jay and Silent Bob reference, so that counts you in. You nerd!

This is a fine hobby. At the bowls clubs you can invariably buy cheap drinks plus have one hand free to take advantage of this while bowling. A lot of 'em don't mind you putting on bands and stuff there as well. Day or night.

I play-test roleplaying games for my friend. A group of us pile over to his house every fortnight or so and he tries out the rules/game system for his own RPGs. He has a High Fantasy one (along with a war game), Victorian Horror one, Present-day Sci-Fi one and a Future Sci-Fi one.
Since he's lost the character sheets for the High Fantasy one we were doing, we've started on the Present-day Sci-Fi one. We're all genetically engineered humans with alien DNA implanted to boost certain attributes (strength, speed, intelligence, psychic ability)

Honestly, I've always had fairly eclectic interests. Moved a lot and easily entertained and easily bored, I guess. So, no matter where I am, there is something I am into which does not fit. I'm, like, alienated and stuff.

DoctorZ- I'm a huuuuge RTS nerd but I prefer turn based strategy. I'm flogging Sins of a Solar empire through it's paces right now, and am anxiously awaiting Halo Wars. I've played all the C&C's, the Middle earth ones, all the warcrafts (except I FUCKING HATE MMORPGS WITH A FUCKING LIVING PASSION), Supreme Commander, ect. Ooh World in Conflict is great if you have a system that can run it.
