iPhone 3G: The porn-friendliest phone?
Quote:
Since the dawn of the Internet, the porn industry has pushed the limits of technology as purveyors of adult entertainment continually strive to find faster, better, and more accessible distribution models for their product. And despite Steve Jobs's insistence that no porn-related apps will ever become available from the iTunes App Store, many in the biz are heralding the iPhone 3G as the best thing for their industry since the Net.

Re: iPhone 3G: The porn-friendliest phone?
The iPhone wishes it were porn-friendly.
I know that people in the mobile industry dislike the iPhone because certain items which they charge for on say a Blackberry, it is not possible to charge for on an iPhone. As a result, they don't develop much for the iPhone's specific dimensions.
Personally, I am sick to death of all of Apple's fake-ass marketing with people pretending they were in line to buy the first iPhone, when they couldn't have cared less and Apple co-opting way too much and trying to act like people should feel smug if they had an Apple vs anything else. Ugh.
When I used to work in other people's offices, I was 100% bi when it came to computers. Once you are inside Photoshop or Illustrator or PageMaker or Quark or PowerPoint etc., it really made little difference whether I was on a MAC or PC and I (not having a TV and the internet not being really around yet) did not understand how people got so emotional about which platform they used. I tended to buy PC for myself because it was more bang for the buck, but not because it was my lover like some people seemed to feel. At this point, Apple and their coercive and phony marketing can suck my dick though.

If you look hard enough you can find decent porn on most phones. I find a lot of stuff on my blackberry curve, but I haven't tried the iphone to compare.
Re: iPhone 3G: The porn-friendliest phone?
i go for whatever is the most use.
a phone for me makes calls.
at the moment i use a Samsung,i'm concerned about the build quality, but as it makes calls it will do until it dies. i ended up with it as an accident anyhow and my sony J70 finally bit the dust the very same week (yes i really do run my kit until it dies).
as for music, thats what a MP3 player is for, though not even my technomancy saved that from a 2 storey drop the other week. i will be looking at an ipod next, not due to fashions (and i HATE itunes), but due to proliferation of its peripherals, infact i can hook it to my car in the glovebox and control it via my cars integrated controls is fantastic for me.
ipod touch just looks like something to avoid however just like the first ipods (and reason i went with the Toshiba equivalent).
what bugs me about apples marketing, is not just its arogance. its every other manufacturer of gizmos following their trend just to be hip. and very little imagination.
i just sawnew homes being built, "Barrett iPad" shitty bedsits made by Barrett (masonry will fall to bits in a year or two) but made apealable by sticking an 'i' on front of its market name
Re: iPhone 3G: The porn-friendliest phone?
Recent convert to Apple. I do like their products better than PC. May get an iphone just to have everything coordinated. Apple has always been over the top on the "think different" campaign front.

As someone who deals with the "up to the Once you are inside Photoshop" side of things, I'm a Mac convert.
You've no idea how much LESS hassle there is in an all-Mac shop. You can get work done cause shit just works and it's made right.
