Just Moved!!!!

First off.... I've been neglecting Blue Blood :-( so, I feel I'm need of some flogging and whipping, volunteers anyone?

Secondly, I just moved up to Philadelphia and am hoping that some of you reside here or could at least recommend some Philly attractions for the dark at heart. I just moved here on Thursday and am still furnishing my room. Any good thrift stores worth hitting up? Or how about somewhere I could get some goth-y room decor? I just went out to Shadowlands a small goth night held over at club Ulana's which was quite enjoyable though I prefer a bigger space, which I'm told can be found at Shampoo on Wednesdays. Anyways..... just seeing if anyone has some words of wisdom or actually lives up in this area.

Congrats on the move. I haven't been to Philly in years. I think the last time I went was to an SF con at the Adams Mark, but this was so long ago that South Street was still really cool then.

South street has quite a bit of touristy crap and cheap porn stores but it does have some gems in there. You should come visit Philly again Amelia, I'd love to show you around, going to what should be a really great Burlesque show on the 30th and it's free no less.

I am new to this board but use to hang out in philly on a pretty regular basis.
1.Digital Ferret just north of South St. on I think 5th or 7th st (sorry I cant recall) is a good music store for industrial/darkwave/synth-pop ect ect.
2. Then there is Shadowlands (not sure if still open but they were a year ago)one block south of South St. on 2nd. It's on the corner of Bainbridge and 2nd. It's a little bit hidden in the way it doesnt look like a club is there.
3. Then on a pretty regular schedule they have the Dracula's Ball that's held at club Shampoo about every 3 months. Local industrial type bands play there along with DJs and a few different rooms with different music styles to pick from. Shampoo is like a block or two south of Springarden on the end of Springarden down toward the waterfront. I think Dracs ball has a ******* page if that helps. Sorry but I have been up all night so hope any of this info helps.

oh yeah there is that crazy medical museum up there too. I can't recall the name, I never got to go check it out, but from what I heard its pretty cool.
