You ever get ready on the wrong day?
So I'm sitting here all dressed with my eyeliner perfect for my friend Sabrina's birthday party.
Only problem is that her party is next week. DeathKnight's fire carnival was this weekend. But yesterday darn it.
I just started using Google calendar and I really really don't think I've gotten the hang of it.
I know OliX wakes up for work on weekends. You ever get ready for something on the wrong day or at the wrong time?

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
I dont use eyeliner but I've done similar things.
Even with a daily planner, between work, school, volunteer stuff, etc etc etc... lately when i wake up i've been getting confused when I try to remember what I have to do for that day.
oh well, better then being bored right?

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
i work nights. my activity is a day before (we start monday on a sunday), it really has messed with everyone's callender.
beforehand i really was not all that good at organisation (I'm a Dyslexic who can read Verry Proficiently, allways have, so other things went awry, like balance and organisation). i would quite honestly be ruined without technology, namely my cellphone and bluetooth updating the calender back and forth just as i'm stepping through the front door

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
My job is rostered work, it's not kind to a scatterbrain like me.
Although, I've been pretty good with it, really.
I just spend too much time worrying I've got something wrong. :/
We don't get given copies of the roster either, it's just pinned to the wall at work. Which, of course, doesn't help much when you're not -at- work.

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
I can't say I've ever mixed up dates.....................of course it helps that I really don't bother haveing much going on

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
HELL YES. I am always doing this, mainly I forget what day it is and I can never remember the date of to update my calander, I had one of those personal organiser thing but I kept on losing it.

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
Cell phones and it's phone books are messing up our memory. Making it weaker. Remember back in time when you had to remember all of your phone numbers :)

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
one of the good things about having panic/anxiety disorder is that i often think about(or worry over) things in advance. the night before, as im going to bed, i sort of plan out my next day, in terms of activities and appointments. it lets me prepare for them in advance, etc.
even still, i do, on occasion forget what day it is. mostly when something upsets my daily schedule. like having a day off or a holiday. or getting the groceries a day early.

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
olix. back then i had a diary in my pocket or a small notebook/.
my memory has improved since odly enough.
what bothers me is lack of communication. people dont communicate even with cellphones in everyones possession. just plain lazyness

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
I've gotten all the way to work on major holidays and knocked on the door trying to figure out why the doors were locked. I've lost days, dated checks wrong, called people's old phone numbers. I'm the scatterbrain from hell. my gCalender is one of the few things that keeps me on my toes. when I was in high school i had to write everything down. just so i knew what homework i didn't do. So now i make up for it by taking notes on everything, planning and over planning and getting myself all worked up for it the night before. when the event finally gets under way i'm fine. (you would not believe the nightmares i had before i left for seattle. i was petrified that i'd written the date down wrong.)
Vexbeast, try carrying a little memo pad and a pen and copying down your work sched. I used to do that when i worked for corporate and checked the dates and times against my cell phone.

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
... >_>
I'm always 6 months behind when it comes to years.
"Hey, what year is it? 2007?"
"...Nooo... It's... 2008... June...."
Yea... >_>

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
I'm time anal, myself. I need to know the day, month, time...All that shit. I think it has to do with certain anxieties I get. Something about the more control I have, the less I feel anxietous. I hoping that when I'm 130, I can retire and not have to worry about that shit anymore.....

Re: You ever get ready on the wrong day?
Since I started using Google calendar, I keep thinking things are earlier than they are. Showing up days early sucks. This is starting to freak me out.
