Helping others!

thanksgiving I am going to a soup kitchen to help feed the needy, and the homeless. It is a really kewl operation. I don't think that giving one holiday back to make children smile is going to kill the diet that I am on.. losing 50 pounds in a year kicks much ass..:thumb:

They hand out clothing, and food of course.. but then they also have activities for the children to do. There will be hairstylists from the Beauty School in Brandon, Fl giving free hair cuts.. and all kinds of things.

If given the opportunity.. How would you spend a holiday for charity?

that's really fuckin cool. I've always wanted to do that. I have helped out a few times, but not on thanksgiving.

BC thats cool! and congrats on the weight loss... i have spent a lot of time in Afrika (no not always in combat folks) helping run medical clinics and such... it can suck for 2 months and then all of a sudden there is some kid that you really help or save a life and it is all worth it... the look on the parents face makes you stop and smile just for a minute... then usually the rebels/anti-government forces show up and things go to shit...

I stopped using products from companies that do animal tests, colgate for example.:mad:

Warmer than hot chocolate on a Summer day... or eating a habanero and jalapeno Sandwich with pepper jack cheese, and spicy Italian sausage.

Maybe you can feed some starving midgets on Thanksgiving. That would be a perfect win-win for you....

I used to be nice and help people, I've found that 90% of the time it's not worth it so I rarely do it anymore

I must say I agree. Where I was living it is better to a manorless bastard then to help others. Every time I ended up helping someone it just bit me in the ass harder each time. :thumb:
