What do you think is a must see movie or documentary.
Here's some that comes to mind atm.
Lucky People Center International. (Amazing documentary on happiness and humans, definitely a must see!)
Man Bites Dog.
Earth.

Man Bites Dog.
Earth.
Pink Flamingos...Just because I always wind up dry heaving at the end of the flick.
Just read about it. Sounds excellent. Gotta see it. Other cult movies I just remembered:
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Clockwork Orange
Tommy
Repo Man
Zombie
Kung Pow!
Freaks
Piles of horror movies....
buckaroo banzai
Taxi Driver
Btw Kung Pow isn't that good. Only funny thing was the girl. weeeueueueeeuueeee
I thought it was funny. Stupid but funny.
It is a funny movie. It has some good scenes and laughs but is it really a cult move?
A cult comedy for me would be Napoleon Dynamite.
Heavy Metal
American Pop
Kentucky Fried Movie (although, that's pretty dated)
Groove Tube (Same thing)
The Decline Of Western Civilization: The punk years (early Rollins still in Black Flag)
The Toxic Avenger
Rock N Roll High School
Harold and Maude
Shogun Assassin
Brazil
Suburbia (a young Flea from the Chili Peppers) early 80's flick
Over the Edge
There's some more for ya.
If it isn't yet, it will be. Strange offbeat comedies have a way of becoming cult movies.Quote:

'the ninth configuration(hmmm good but not really cult I guess)
'revenge of the nerds
No... haven't seen any of those :o

The Forbidden Zone
Meet the Feebles
Night on Earth
Kung Fu Hustle (Is it indie enough? It seems a bit high budget to make the list)
A Texas Chainsaw Massacre
They Live
Evil Dead II
Clerks
The Man Who Fell to Earth
UHF
The Royal Tenenbaums (Is that Cult, or does it fall in the purposely Indie Catagory?)
The Witches
Dead Alive
Fargo
Hedwig
Fight Club.
I was thinking of this one last night and couldn't remember the name and then I found it online...
"Fantastic Planet"...
A weird animated European movie from the 70's.
I haven't seen it in years.
Also...You have to see "Phantasm" if you haven't seen it yet.
Some great movies on your lists guys.
I'm a kung fu fanatic myself
The all time classic, the movie that launched 1000 fists- The Master Killer, aka The 36 Chambers of Kung Fu/Shaolin. Starring my man Gordon Liu! Oh yeah, I actually like a few of his movies a little bit more, but this one is by far one of the most popular Shaw Brothers productions ever.
Also, Remo Williams:The Adventure Begins. I basically pattern my life after this movie. (And the awesome/awful books it's based on.)
Videodrome probably reflects reality more than any other movie I know, and combined with They Live more or less forms my world view.
Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Fun.Quote:

the first movie that came to my mind was "The Rocky Horror Picture Show", I think that's the most "famous" cult movie...which I love to death :)
yes, but this describes about half the kung fu movies made after it :1orglaughQuote:

Well, was it the one that he practices the martial arts by bashing his bald head into hanging homemade punching bags?Quote:

Fuckin' Brilliant movie.

that trailer doesn't do it justice.
Small Faces- about Glaswegian youth gangs in the 60's.
"Tong Ya Bass".
Doom Generation and NoWhere (Or anything by Gregg Araki, for that matter)
How old are you Buster? Do you remember "Drive-In Theater" on channel 5 on Saturdays? They always played this movie on there. I loved it too.Quote:

Haha! That's a cheesey flick. Paul Williams, right? It's got cult written all over it.Quote:

how about the Death Wish series?
nearly forgot the Warriors
Dead Man (I haven't seen it, but I've heard a lot of good things.)
Killer Clowns From Outer Space
Waking Life
Natural Born Killers (maybe a bit of a stretch for this list, but I think it counts.)
The Goonies
Red Dawn
Oh ya, you beat me to it. I just remembered about that one. Awesome flick!Quote:
