Who is that on stage?
James Hetfield, leader of a little band called Metallica...
Oh. I remember when they didn't suck.

I'm sure we could power the planet by hooking Cliff Burton's spinning corpse up to a generator.
I like the direction Metallica took. You can only write so many songs making Mad Libs from your Dungeons and Dragons source book.
I haven't dug their last 2 albums though.

7.No Remorse
You win the prize.
you like their new direction? dude, have you heard "Load"?
Metallica is now for fratboys to bang their heads to, bro, before like, dude, the UFC comes on, homes!
i think they need to finally ride the lightning towards the light...
when the WWF or E or whatever the hell it is uses your songs... or worse you end up on the same album as limp dick bizkit and it's a tom cruise movie soundtrack it's time to quit...
or go to rehab and get really angry at the freaking millions you made over the years...
I've heard Load, I bought it. ReLoad too. Liked both of them and didn't find any arbitrary need to jump on the hater bandwagon just because they grew as artists and people.
I admit the last few years have been fucking terrible, especially that piece of shit "cry-u-mentary" they put out.
But from Kill Em All to Reload I like everything. S&M was cool too.

Or sit there, teary eyed, handing out glasses of champagne to mega-rich dicks who are buying the modern art pieces you bought over the years. Maybe if you'd spent more time learning to play less sloppy you WOULDN'T SUCK, LARS.Quote:

Death Magnetic is actually a pretty good album to me. I agree with everyone else though, Saint Anger sucked. How many years have they been playing with minimal lineup changes? The problem lies more in that their music is starting to be considered "softer metal" and "generic metal." But what can you do when you're one of the bands that basically created the speed/thrash metal sound in America? With the exception of Saint Anger, all their stuff sounds fairly similar, which is just weak compared to acts nowadays.
Like 'em or hate 'em, you've got to hand it to them for surviving this long. Not too many other bands are still around from when they started, just Slayer, Megadeath, and a small handful of others that constantly change lineups.
Is that Rockwulf singing along with James on that photo?
I always liked "Orion" off the album. What's your favorite?Quote:
