I haven't had any coffee since Wednesday. I know drinking as many yummy iced lattes as I like is bad for me. But I have a bit of a headache coming on and I know coffee would fix that right up.

Coffee is mildly addictive (caffeine that is)--so the headaches are part of withdrawal..Quote:

when coffee is good I don't ask for price... i just bless D barman
well I dunno I don't every get to wierd around coffee unless I haven't eaten but had three coffee's I get quite the buzz. The Only time I get headaches is when there is a pressure change and a thuderstorm comming...if there is sever lightning my nose bleeds
I used to get a 3/4 cup of coffee (about 9 flow ounces). Throw in a handfull of ice to cool it down and throw in about 6 of those instant coffee packets. IT'S GREAT!! You shake for about 15 min after but man do you feel your hair grow. I'm weaning myself off right now just to get rid of some of the tolerance I've gained to the caffiene. I got this sticker saying "And on the sixth night, God created caffiene."
Mmm, a large/venti/big/whatever size quad-shot latte with 3 sweet vanilla shots, and two packets of natural harvested cane sugar in the bottom, stir slightly and enjoy..... Godamn... I want me some coffee... and some sushi, god I wish I had some cash.

I'm amazed that the public drinking fountains don't flow with Seattle's Best or Tully's.
Even the crows and other scavenger bird's are cracked out on it, always looking for someone throwing away a cup to pick out of the trash and get the remains.
Ever watch two crows fight over a paper cup to get to the coffee grounds? Funny shit.
Actually coffee keeps your metabolic rate up and staves off diabetes (of course due to the caffiend) depending on how much you drink and what you put in it (the triple carmel double dutch fudge grande isn't going to help much)
I tend to drink quite a bit more coffee since coming here than what I did while living in Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Dallas... and other places in the rest of the world, kinda hard not to with no less than 3,800 coffee stands, stores and carts around the city.
I say drink up, enjoy... if not, I'll have one for you. :D
coffee stunts your growth i used to be tall for my age then i started drinking coffee constantly from about the age of 12 now im short i didnt know coffee was to blame until someone said coffee stunts your growth i've stopped drinking it now though as i suddenly realised about 6 months ago that it tastes really bad (or maybe my mum changed the brand that she buys)
HempKnight - when I stayed in downtown Seattle to take pretty pictures of hotties and KMFDM, I was in a very regular coffee consumption cycle and it seemed like there was a coffee shop every two blocks and every fucking one closed by 6pm. Any more info on the diabetes thing?
purplepixie - I find that how good coffee tastes to me varies a lot with my girlie cycle. And definitely brand and batch and all makes a big difference.
Well, looks like I better head to Starbuck's now then. What the heck am I doing awake now?
now I want a coffee, and I rarely drink it
Peer pressure. Peer pressure. No one I respect ever got addicted . . . oh wait . . .
cofee is the greatest substance on earth next to weed
I adore caffine in all its forms, coffee most of all. Thing is I'm such an addict to the stuff that if I don't have somehting similar every morning I get the most god awful headaches and I get REALLY bitchy. So help yourself to a nice cuppa joe and wean yourself off slowly next time.

Isnt there a Starbucks across the street from another Starbucks, somewhere in Texas?
Supposedly it was Directly across the street from itself.
Being on a rotating shift, coffee is a necessary fuel for me. Now that Tim Horton's has adopted the Starbucks-patented 'two-block-blitzkrieg' strategy of corporate expansion, there are two within three minutes of work now. This would be more dangerous if the quality of their coffee had not (coincidentally?) sunk in the last year or so.
It's a busy street in Houston and it really would be a pain to cross and it kinda makes sense to have them both where they are. It is just a funny point to make about how ubiquitous they are.Quote:

I HATE STARBUCKS!!! Too mainstream. Too big. I'd rather go somewhere else... like my kitchen with some nice Gevalia :)
I've never really likes coffee, it's too bitter for my tastes. However, Caramel Frappichino is like god's gift to the beverage world.
Amelia, I don't think it's really that bad for you. Why do you want to stop?
I am trying to stop drinking tea because my back hurts because I lifted something heavy. The caffeine really makes it hurt more. But it is really hard to stop caffeine. I want some tea now!!!! Ah!!! I am drinking herb tea.... boring...
Icky. I don't like coffe, cappucino, frappacino, mochas or even coffee flavored things. I dunno, it's just always tasted icky to me. I am quirky I guess.
no yer not quirky...everyone has their thing...anyhow*sip after cup number 2 here I am going for cup number 3..how come this tuesday seem like a blue monday? it's going to be along fucking day.....
I am on day three of no caffeine. Actually I feel OK today. But I still want some caffeine!!!
okay here's a question hw do you like your coffee?? if you make it that is? coffee maker, french press, espresso machine....
I like to buy Starbucks House Blend, whole bean of course and grind it really fine and just brew it in my coffee machine really strong, add some Vanilla Caramel cram to it and it's awesome...
what about having some soda... just enough caffeine to get the headache without the jolt to throw you all out of whackQuote:
