Do you show up late or on time?
Do you tend to show up for things late or on time? If you are on time, does it piss you off when others are late? If you are late, does it piss you off when others are even later? Do you feel that people who show up late do it out of disrespect for those they are meeting?
One of the accomplishments I am most happy about and found most difficult as an adult is learning to show up on time. I was always egregiously tardy for everything as a kid. My father is very punctual and my mother is not so much. Only thing I ever saw them argue about as a kid. It still takes me a ridiculous amount of effort to be on time or at least I think it comes easier to other people, but I feel good managing it, leaving extra breathing room in the schedule. It always bummed me out when people thought being tardy was a dis, though, because my lateness was wholly my own failing and not at all a reflection on what I thought of who I was meeting.

I was always the "last minute" man.

It can mean two things. Either they're sloppy or they're raising their own worth so that they could manipulate that in future to their likings.

I'm usually 5 to 10 minutes early actually. If people are late it just gives me time to smoke before I have to deal with them. Unless I'm in charge of them and they're suppose to be showing up for the shift. Then I get to yell at them and make them work late.
