How often do you change your mind?

Real question would be more like: Do you have an open mind and do you let the world influence your opinions?

Do you evolve your ideas and point of views or do you just disregard any other opinions that others might have?

And did internet based community (i.e. Blue Blood Boards) made you change your mind or change the way you think?

I'm pretty open-minded, but a little more so since I joined the boards. I never had a problem with gay people, but I no longer have a problem with the transgender people either.

I take other people's opinions into consideration, but then I usually just call them stupid and smack them upside the head. Even if it's a good opinion and I agree with it.

for the most part i am pretty open minded about things although i tend to hold back a little on things that i feel iffy on.

There are a few issues that I'm pretty set about and it would take a lot to convince me otherwise.............a lot of other things are really not important enough to me to actually decide what my opinion is

I am very open minded, and will listen to all sides and then form my own opinion that's right for me. I don't hold it against anyonw if they don't share my opinion.

I am open-minded when it comes to interpreting objective issues. I do not change my mind easily if people do not have objective, tangible evidence to back their claims.

i might not change my mind, in fact i usually won't, but I do appreciate hearing/reading other's opinions and whatever fact they have to back it up. it's very interesting to me and allows me to see other sides of things ppl consider issues.

Listening to others before forming your own opinion is not being 'open-minded', it's simply being analytical.

Being open-minded means you know your opinion isn't the only one to have.

Anyway, once in a while, and mostly not so much by discarding my opinions for a polar opposite as building on and around them to take into account previously unregistered factors. I make a point out of hearing arguments for alternative viewpoints and staying honest with their makes and myself, but I'm also a very critical listener, and most people don't argue their opinions on a level that I cannot easily pick holes in. Even in a field I know little about I'm not quick to swallow anything, since I'll be aware of my own relative inability to judge and I'd sooner acknowledge my uncertainty than adopt a view I can't fully defend and place among alternatives.

Most of my changing my mind occurs on matters of taste rather than opinion, or in everyday practical situations where I've guessed something wrong and immediately see it proven such.

Very seldom.

When I bother to formulate a powerful opinion on a subject, it means I've already researched my opinion to the full extent of my capabilities with the sources at my disposal... or as my lovely K puts it, "Anything worth knowing about is worth knowing everything about." Changes in the research may cause changes in my opinion; for example, if someone arguing against my point shows me a book containing information new to my brain. (A rarity, but it's been known to happen.) Otherwise, my opinion generally stays firmly put.

Im one of those people who like to find out all the facts before i open my mouth.
I do not allow society to effect the way i am.

I'd like to say im constantly evolving because my mind does not sleep.

I think as far as internet communities just open my mind to different topics.
But it hasnt changed much of me at all.

I'm pretty open-minded until Raza starts "spewing". At that point, I shut down my brain realizing that he'll eventually put out a rant about how serial killers are actually doing us a favor. He'll go against any grain as long as a "discussion" is immenent.
