murder-kitty comic...what i got so far.....

okay, when i first came on here, i was talking about this and that was forever ago lol.
so i got off my lazy ass and started working on it. this is the first comic im gonna be doing.

it's called murder-kitty cus well, that's the name of the main character.

it's kind of a horror comedy about a were-puma and her enchanted pumpkin accomplice,pumpkin boy (they can't all ahve good names) who have always been a pretty lowtech monster hunting team relying heavily on magick and an indestructable grave digger's shovel as well as a van they use to front their expeditions by selling fried chicken cakes on the side.
anyways, times get pretty tough in the first story which goes form the year 2000 to 2004 wher emk and her friend are out of work aside formt he chciken cakes thing which is also losing business and they luck into an invitation to go to investigate a haunted abandoned stripclub before the new owner reopens it.

it's kind of a horror comedy thing.

anyways here's a few samples of the work. it's going to be done mostly in pencil with light inking and color additions done on my computer.

im thinking it'll probably end up an ahscan but available for people outside of arizona upon request. there's gonna be two versions printed, a black and white one which is mildly censored and a full color version that is uncensored.
as kind of a hats off to old horror movies.
now, the coloring isnt precise. it's choppy which is what im going for. I want it to have a kind of bled out feel to it. very retro.

im gonna show the same pages in both formats so you can see there isnt alot of difference between the two versions, just subtle differences.
the colored one is gonna have a slightly longer beggining too. the black and white will pick up on it's page three.

the girl in the pictures is being chased by a mob of mutant zombie pot monsters that grew out of the weed plantation her and her friends were growing on a haunted indian burial ground which used to be next to a nuclear power plant that was used for sceret nazi genetic experiments.

yeah......it's like that lol

plus thats why im doing two different versions of it.

the black and white one or "fuknocolor" version will be slightly censored and shorter-as shown in panel 3 of the two pages that are the same.

while as the colored one or "fukdupcolor" version will be uncensored and extended in all the violent gorey nasty hippy bush and vampire titties glory i was intending lol

thanx. it's fun to work on it. dunno how long this particular series is gonna be. i wanna do her in multiple mini-series format instead of an ongiong series cus i don't like reading 'filler" issues as a comic book fan.

oh man! i havent felt like picking up a pencil and firing up the old scanner in over a week and i finally sat down today and whipped these bitches up lol.
gona start on it again in abit, just been kinda distracted with mom and all right now plus my ex playing games with wether or not she wanted to-oh who gives a flying fuck- lol

anyways here's the new page I got so excited after finishing the coloring to it i really did.

yes, i know, i said he was going to be a pumpkin.....he will be.
but i wanna build a story up to how he becomes one.

I think every artist has tha tmoment in a project where they finally feel like they've hit lightning in a bottle with it. this is said lightning. notice the brighter more vivid coloration to her in comparison to the previous pics.

in page format, this page would be the first page after turning the last page so you go from kinda bland coloring to Bam! lol
this is a load of fun to do it really is.
it even looks super badass in greyscale. i color then grey scale for consistency.

one more for now, i went a little crazy with the sound effects to illustrate there's some serious ass getting kicked off panel and the hippie girl is just sitting there in shock

i wanted to slip in pa-pa-pa-pow! but meh........I think only people who read that book would get who says that lol

also went with very high contrast colors to add to the emotion of the scene depicted. it's a violent sequence so i wanted it to veyr bright and shaded.

that's awesome!

I spent alot of my childhood locked in my room so that's pretty much all i did all day was draw ninja turtles which, btw, is a great way to start learning cus they're pretty much composed of nothing but ovals.

but the real work is once it's been scanned into the computer.
these are all literally pencil drawn pieces with very little inking to them if any. and once i have them scanned in, i add color and shading and background effects. I've had to really restrain myself from adding in all the shade and whatnot until it's been scanne din cus i wanna finish the picture before i work on it normally and it doesnt work out so well if it's been shaded on paper and i decide t go a different route with it on the computer so i gotta leave them as 1d as possible, almost like a coloring book.

as you can see, i even adde din the exhaust cloud form the vespa as well as the dynamic in the background too.

here's the latest page. im kinda iffy on the word bubbles but i like the change from verdana to segoue for the text. i've never figured out why it is everything is in caps in comics..........

that page was a real pain cus i was going for a kind of high dark like dusk feel to it. lot of reds and blacks.

just in case anyone hasnt figured outt heir colors yet, mk is light orange-golden with toxic pink and sherbert orange while jack is black, grey and light blue. he's immortal and doesn't get out much so he's really pale.-not a vampire though. vampires in this book are slightly green.

figured i'd share a page with the dollhead in it that she gets since im thinking of making a prequel book after this to explain it.

originally it was a skeleton voodoo doll i based off a little plush skeleton doll i have but drawing a teeny plushy skeleton over and voer again is a paiun in the ass in comparison to a mutilated cycloptic doll head. plus doll heads are kinda creepier than skeleton dolls i think.
and no.....it does Not bring the owner "good luck and junk". you'll see when you pick up a copy.
