will holidays eventually go digital?

with the rise of flying from one place to another,

and with sites like imvu,second life, gaia online and apps like buddy poke being quite popular,
do you think we'll eventually end up celebrating holidays altogether online instead of in person?

now granted, i am meaning more like yule, boxer day, thanksgiving, christmas and hanukah more than i am like oh say flag day or talk like a pirate day.
