Do you like to snack in the bed? If you do not, does it bother you if a bed partner does? Would you kick someone out of bed for making crumbs? Or do you have non-crumb type snacks which are okay? Or is a wet apple core worse than a breadcrumb at the end of the day?
We don't have too much living space, so our bed doubles as couch and occasionally workbench. Between various forgotten small sharp metal objects and the crappy state of the chalk covering of the wall beside it, crumbs are the least of our worries.
Sleeping on crumbs suck.
Oh... I hate it so much... sometimes I take a snack to the bed. I always regret it and end up changing my sheets. Since I sleep alone lately I don't mind it if I were to share a bed I would definitely avoid any food in the bed. Unless it's strawberries and cream.
Dustbusters rule.

our place is so small, i almost have to eat on the bed. i don't have my own chair! T__T
I dont mind really, i eat in bed, my bf eats in bed.
I always take the sheet off and toss it up in the air to make sure there is no residue around before i sleep.
not only do i eat things like chips in bed, but i even eat them in my sleep. nothing quite like waking up with an open, half empty bag of chips in the bed with yyou. and no memory of having had any the night before.
My bed is the only thing in my room for me to sit on. In fact, I'm eating a bag of chex mix right now...
