Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends? Which are you closer with? If there is a gender difference where you are friends with way more people of one gender than the other or way closer with friends of one gender than the other, why do you think that is?

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
I tend to have more guy friend usually, girls have always been to bitchy and backstabbing for my taste. Plus most of them think I'm kind of gross because I'm a creepy perv. I do have a few girl friends but I never hang out with them much (I wouldn't mind it, I just don't). I just like men better I suppose. I can get alot of attention from them ;D haha

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
Split pretty even. I have a good amount of friends but hang out with only about 3 guys and 3 girls

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
I have more female friends. It is a toss up whether the number of close friends I have is more female or male.

thats probably the best measure. people can have LOTS of friends, but close friends are harder to come by.

In high school and college I had way more female friends but in recent years that tide has started to turn and it's evening out.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
never bothered to do a tally among the ten or so friends I might have

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
:) I tend to get along better with guys. I agree with a lot of people, that some girls come with too much drama. I can nt STAND that you said this, I said this..boo hoo i chipped a nail, and blah blah non-sense. After awhile, it get's old. ^_^

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
I tend not to hang out with people that act according to their gender's stereotypes. It turns out fairly even in every layer of closeness/intimacy I think - except perhaps the outer 'looks interesting but don't know them personally' ring, which is dominated by females because there's just so many more of those that decorate themselves.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
I mostly hang out with guys. I think there are various reasons behind it but I tend to find it easier to talk to men, most girls I meet I just find uninteresting.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
It's pretty even. I work with guys mostly, so when I hang out with my work friends is guys, but most of my non-military friends are women, usually because I'd go out with a chick, her friends would come along, and I'd get brought into the group of friends. It doesn't matter to me, people to drink with are people to drink with.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
When im just relaxing and hanging around, i hang out with my boys.
When im out, excited, clubbing, dancing or just have some kind of adventure, its the ladies.
I'd say equal.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
Definitely guys. I'm a complete nerd, so it's a lot easier to talk to strike up a conversation with a male because we can argue over which is the best Final Fantasy game. Or at least, there's a better chance of them knowing what I'm talking about, whereas most females have no clue.
I find girls tend to be too obsessed with how other people see them, so they try to fit themselves into a certain mold, which makes the majority act the same.
I hang out with two or three females on a semi-regular basis and I find that there are a lot more awkward silences with them than around my many male friends.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
my 3 bestest friends are female, but we all live on opposite side of the globe from eachother...Having said that, I get on with them better than anyone else, but generally I would rather have a conversation with any bloke in a pub than any girl.
There are only an exceptional few girls that i find interesting enough to talk to.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
hmm...that's a difficult one... maybe 60percent female and 40male
both gay and straight (males) most of my female freinds are straight but like they say most girls can go "bi" or whatever

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
girls all the way. but i get along better with girls who get along better with guys. quite fascinating really...

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
It's usually an equal mix when I hang out with more than one person.
But for one-on-ones, I think it sometimes feels a little strange when you and someone of
the opposite sex are hanging out alone, and it's not your boyfriend/girlfriend. Sexual tension
I suppose.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
female now
used to be male... I think ulterior motive had something to do with it.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
I am a girl. All my friends are men, except one. I have only one friend who is a girl. She and I were former Dancers, that is Go Go, Belly Dancers and Strippers for many, many years. I do have, a few internet friends who are girls. The friends I chat with most and daily are my male friends. Why? There are many reasons. One being I am hoping to find a man to be my man again. To understand men when it has to do with male and female relationships, men give me more insight from a male point of view. We women think we know alot about men, in regard to relationships, but we are still learning. To get real male insight, a girl must communicate with men. I really just perfer to talk with and be around men even if they are only my friends.

Re: Do you tend to have more male friends or more female friends?
Additional note. I can not trust girls around my men, I have learned in the past, which is another good reason to have male friends. I have been lucky when I have been involved with a specail man in a relationship. My man of that moment always have accepted me having male friends. Unfortunately I have not had any real relationship for 4 and a half years, but I am still looking for the right man. I don't know if I know how the post pictures here, but I am very colorful and I am definely have a Blue Blood type of appearance. I have some pictures on My Space if anyone is interested.
