Do you think you could kill or maim a person?

Over the years, I've known a fair number of people who have killed or maimed others, either in military service or as part of unsavory business practices. When I was sixteen, I saw the guy I was dating break the leg of my friend's older brother and then he made him walk on it all night. The breakee was in a huge cast for months, but they appeared to be cool with each other afterward, accepted it as the cost of doing business. I don't think I could maim someone, so I didn't go into the international drug and gun-running biz.

Do you think you could kill or maim a person? If so, in what sort of setting would you be capable of doing either?

Only if they hurt my family or friends badly. Then I'd have no problem with it. Other than that...Probably not.

I think humans are fascinating - and frightening - in their dynamic ability to explore brutal new territory when suddenly forced to defend their own lives or the lives of their loved ones.

same with the "hiding the corpse" question. if said person deserves (ie threatening the long and healthy life of someone i care about) to be made an example of, then i believe i could step up and remove the blight from the face of humanity, but only as an absolute last resort.

Semi-accidentally if someone started a serious fight, easily enough I think. I'm not really one for punching people, and I accessorize with some fairly lethal stuff these days.

Doing it purposefully and on my own initiative would require a change of heart somewhere first. Maybe doing it on accident or by necessity once or twice and finding out that I'm good at it would be enough?

I lack the anger or sense of moral entitlement that drives typical killers, but I do glamorize violence a lot. I'm also a weird combination of callous and benign. It's difficult to tell really.

I feel bad if I accidentally kill a bug but if anyone was in anyway threatening to hurt or kill my boyfriend I would not even have to think twice about doing anything necessary to protect him. Defending myself I think would be a bit harder but if I felt I was really in danger then I probably could hurt another person.

If I was in a serious fight, or if somebody fucked with my new niece I would see red and do whatever had to be done.

Otherwise a couple good punches usually finishes whatever business I find myself in.

kill yes, maim no. and i'd prolly spend the rest of my life wracked by tons of guilt over it.

I don't think I could intentionally maim someone, but I think I could kill someone if necessary.

it would have to be a very extreme situation, but i think i could do what needed to be done in an extreme situation.

i become really evil when defending my loved ones especially my dog (when i "sober" back i kinda scare myself .....lol weird i know) i found through past experiences even though im chill back i have a fondness for violence and physical pain :grinning-

Killing would take some provocation, such as shooting at me or some other form of attempting to kill me. Now maiming, I've done it a few times. I'm no MMA star or anything, but I do know some very quick, very easy, and very painful ways to break arms/legs, snap elbow tendons, rip joints out of sockets, and choke people out. And though I usually avoid confrontation, when someone swings at me, I'm looking to make sure that arm or leg doesn't get used again for awhile.

If they deserved it? Yeppers.

killing is one thing. living with it is the issue.

I do have feelings of really wanting to, but I do not want to spend the rest of my life in jail without men. I would love to kill and maim if I could get away with it, in the name of justice, theives, especially those that robbed from me, violent people who hurt people for no logical reason, rapists and animal abusers.
Please understand, just because I have feelings of wanting to, does not mean I would do this. In self defense, definely I would mean this and do this to survive.

Yes. Easily. Human life and limb means as much to me as animal life and limb...and I eat animals...so...*grin*

Everyone has in them the capacity for wanton destruction, willful, and with menace. Denying it is ignoring it, and preparing yourself for ruin when it inevitably strikes.

Embrace it, acknowledge it, and use it.*grin* Only then can you say you would or would not do something, out of YOUR choice, not some silly moralistic system based on external influences.

But I can forgive her for that; I think I thought I wanted to be a cop for one confused year between ages 6 and 7. I got my head straight soon after and settled on the more sensible choice of pirate, though, which has been a recurring theme since.

Probably in a defense situation and I was about to die or if they like killed my mother or something like that? This is all a 'guess' though?

(a) There is no nudity in editorial on this site.

(b) I don't want the sorts of people who search for certain keywords in the search engines to find this site and come hang out here. I'm pretty sure that, if a poster is being articulate, readers of this sites are intelligent enough to understand the meaning from context, whether or not that one word is starred out.

I have already replied here. I do want to add, I do not kill insects, except Silver fish, just because they are creepy, fast moving and I found one on my bed walking up to my chest as my cats are always welcomed to. I never kill spiders because I know they will get rid of undesirable bugs. Is there a desirable bug? Good question. I never kill bees, or anything except Silver Fish. The reply I already made here to this question, was in regard to humans.
