I don't work. I live on a sub-tropical island living the good life.
I am a licensed Cosmetologist, (hairstylist etc) and a former professional Dancer.
How I currently earn some income? I work 16 hours a week, in a cemetary getting leads for the cemetary salesmen. I own a home which is completely paid for, but my mother pays the taxes and utilities since my boyfriend moved out 4 and a half years ago. I drive a car which is paid off that is 18 years old. I get food on food stamps.
I am a full time cam girl, I run 2 porn sites, one of which the income has doubled (literally) in the past month. I also do freelance web and graphic design. And it's STILL not enough to pay the bills (gotta love our economy, huh?)
I'm a grunt in a factory. My job is to catch everyone else's mistakes. When I started there I told myself it would only be for a year or 2 to save up some money. That was 7 years ago. The pay and the benefits are great and I don't really have to work all that hard. I made it through round after round of lay offs and I actually just worked a 40 hour week for the 1st time in over a year. Woo. Hoo.
I fix helicopters for the largest mob in the world. You probably know it as the US Army.
I take my clothes off for a living.

Honestly, I know very few people who are really making ends meet right now. I'm probably in a more secure position than a lot of people and it still sucks a lot. This economy needs to effing pick up.

I work in the movie biz, doing visual fx, and it tends to keep rolling, even when the economy is bad.
People still like entertainment, even when they are broke.
Things did slow down a bit, but there were still jobs out there.
IT manager (web specialist) at a top-tier law firm by day = how to pay child support.
Drug using pusher and pimp by day and night = how to get money for guitars.
I mainly author DVD's for the Japanese Porn Industry. Haven't shot or edited any DVD's since not much shooting going on now for the companies I work for, I'm hoping once the economy picks up I can get more work shooting and editing.
I am also a photographer and get some odd jobs here and there. Luckily I work out of my house so I don't have to go to an office, just stay home and the work get sent to me.
Umm...I don't? The government pays for my food and medical care since I'm in debt from college and still don't have a job other than making porn. However the boyfriend and I are going to be starting up our own company and I may be getting a lab tech position soon :)
I sell a lot of clothes or old stuff that I never use, it actually goes well even though it's hard to see your beloved stuff go.
