I lived near a major furry convention called "Anthrocon". What I found: It was something of an RPG. I would tend to agree that it might be more fun if it was a bit more intimate (in the sense of knowing who is who, what the animals represent to them, and not being expected to know the catchphrases). It could make for really good theater or even a sensual experience. The events are just huge. We considered going a few times, but it seemed almost too involved. The furries were considerate of the city and the people for the most part though. I think they did lose the: We just love to dress up! friends I have there.
