If someone left their computer unattended . . .

If someone left their computer unattended while they were logged into a board, would you make funny posts as them? How about instant messenger or their journal?

Or maybe left themselves logged in on your computer . . .

I know someone that does that, but I don't think it's funny.

I make a point of having my password protected screensaver spring on after the shortest possible time just to avoid such things!

I can see the funny side of doing it, but I suspect that most people who took advantage of such a situation would go over the top straight away.

I wouldn't because I see it as an invasion of privacy.

I don't mess with people's personal stuff.

I would hate that if it were done to me.

Depends... when its left in a public place on a public computer, yeah. Something is getting done. I usually send an email from their account to their account, something to let them know they where vulnerable.

But I won't take advantage of trust placed in me.

In a heartbeat...I'd make it obvious it was not the person though...and I would make it funny...malicious stuff just gets the person in trouble and that sucks.

i think its dishonest. i knew this dude that got my friends email pass and ordered a direct tv system over his email. he is a big time thief. We need to start cutting thiefs hands off again...

most times absolutely not but every now and then i would post something absolutely hysterically obnoxiously funny like a big picture of a kid picking his nose saying "hi i'm ____ and this is me as a kid" then at the bottom right a disclaimer;)

the point being that is has to really be funny and leave nothing that could be possible taken the wrong way. and as long as it was really funny then no i wouldn't mind being the one that got pranked either.
