Sherlock Holmes
I love watching old Sherlock Holmes mysteries, but I must say that my fave is Jeremy Brett. I feel he has done the best portrayal of Holmes and we were seriously addicted to the episodes featuring him. So stunning and insect-like, with great style, and I adore his face. Any other fans of Sherlock Holmes? If so, who is your fave actor to play the role?

Re: Sherlock Holmes
I loved the short stories when I was a child, but was never so keen on the films. It came as a great disappointment to me to learn that the house protrayed in the stories was no longer there. The address is used by (what was) Abbey National Bank, and they do answer letters written to Sherlock Holmes!

Re: Sherlock Holmes
Yeah, I do not really get into the movies, but I do try to check out versions I may not be familiar with. The series starring Jeremy Brett were done I think, by The BBC. I rented them from my local library, so they were hour episodes. We actually had a marathon of watching these this past summer. I must say, it was way better than being out in the blistering sun and it introduced me to an actor whose work I would have otherwise never been exposed to. Sadly, he has passed, but his work lives on.
