At least you did something productive today. I spilled grapefruite juice all over my keyboard and broke it, and bought a little tiny pink sparkly g-string for my photo shoot!

Septums are fun....I got mine done for my 14th birthday (many many moons ago) and it has never come out. My upper lip would be so lonely without it. Enjoy Baby!!!

Ive had my septum piercing in for so long, I feel naked without it. I hardley wear it on the outside anymore though.
Beware of the stench. Your piercings get stinky, and youll always be able to smell your septum. Just be sure to keep it clean. The smell in your piercings is actually a yeast infection.

Ah, I have to agree about nothing like needles to help forget things. On Tuesday I got two more labrets. It had been over a year without a new piercing for me, so I was impulsive for once and gave myself a present.
Ive had my septum done for like 3 years now, and I love mine. "Septum funk" as most fondly call it. I wouldnt get too concerned when it smells though. Think of it this way, with any piercing, our body sheds dead skin cells all the time and mixing that with a substance like snot will make it smelly. So its mainly dead skin cells and mucus, but just clean with warm sea salt water and its all good. I even grew to LOVE the smell, oddly enough. :)
fo sho. although I would never pay for a peircing, i'll gouge myself, thank you very much. I think it takes away from the entire experience do have it done in some shop when ancient cultures used to do it with sticks and bones and shit. it's just like the entire western marketting ethos to be like "tired of being on the outskirts of weirdom? we'll now you can get it just down the street for only 29.99!".
:eeek: I LOVE THE SEPTUM, BUT TRUE THE SEPTUM STENCH CAN GET IRRITATING AFTER A WHILE..... GET A Q-TIP DIP IT IN HYDROGEN PEROXIDE AND CLEAN THE ARE WELL.... THAT SHOULD HELP WITH THE STENCH.... AND ITS NOT A YEAST INFECTION ITS DEAD SKIN, DIRT SWEAT ALL OF THOSE THAT BUILD UP IN YOUR NOSE!!!!!! TAKE CARE OF IT..... LOOKS GREAT...

looks good I dunno what I am more Jealous of the Septum piercing or the Tsunami Bomb T-shirt, I so dig that band, those cats are bad(in a good way) but now that the one member left I dunno if thie new release is uhm good or not I think in Outburn it got a decent review...can't remember....anyhow I am gald you were able to still have some type of financial way of getting the piercing....please don't don't say you got it for free or I will cry....

gotta love "nose cheese" tho. i frequently play with my piercings-all 28 of them- to keep them clean. i only really notice the smell afterwards when its on my hands. a simple hand washing takes care of it. and it seems that the ones that produce the most gunk are the ones that i did the stretching of myself.
and remember: cleaning your septum ring looks like picking your nose to some people! try not to do it in certain social situations...

Ive been a nurse for 4 years now, and the goo that forms in your piercings is in fact a yeast infection. Not to say that dead skin dirt and all that other shit does not also get in your piercings.Quote:
