What's wrong with people?

Today I was Christmas shopping with my mom at the mall. As we were leaving this guy offered to drive us to our car in one of those security golf carts. It dawned on me it was cuz more and more people are getting mugged at the mall. Not only that but people are having their homes broken into. Maybe it's just my hometown that this is happening in. But I find it really disturbing that people would do something to hurt other people during the holidays. How morally depraved does a person have to be to mug someone, at any time, especially during the hoildays. Just at what point does a person sink so low?
It's just sad to me that people have to worry about crime during the holidays.

I can't quite imagine a mugger making any moral distinctions for the holidays. Crime can be seen thru any number of perspectives: bad childhoods, economic duress, social dsintegration, or just bad people.

That is what happens when the economy is driven as deep into the ground as it has been over the last few years. On the otherhand, don't overlook the fact that someone was nice and was looking out for you, so although there is danger in the world we live in, there are thoughtful good people too.

You're right it was a good thing. It just wasn't completely altruistic.

I always ride around in my golf cart... And pick up cute boys...

As to the original post I think you have to be one seriously fucked up individual to mug someone, I've never done it, however i know a few people that have and it is fucked up. However if you have ever stole something form some one its the same thing, just not so up close and personal.
