So I have a SNES, but only one game. (Mario All Stars) I was wondering if someone can recommend me some great SNES games. ones that do not cost an arm and a leg (chrono trigger, secret of mana)

Two words pawn shop.
The pawn shop around the corner from my house had snes games for like a buck and tons and tons of them! christ for that price who cares if they suck or not!
Yes, pawn shops are great. I personally enjoyed The Donkey Kong Trilogy. Really animated and fun. The Zombies Ate my Neighbors is also pretty cool.
Well...I would actually just download an SNES emulator and some rom's (game files). Great way to play all the classics.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a MUST...that game is not only a masterwork of design but it is a true classic in every sense. One of the best 16 bit games ever made that STILL plays well to this day.
MARIO CART!!!
Yoshi's island had me hooked for weeks, and of course Earthworm Jim!!!
Ahhh, happy memories,
SNES Titles that are forever AMAZING;
Super Metroid.
Legend of Zelda Link to the Past.
Tales of Phantasia is supposed to be pretty good.
(never released in America though so you'd have to hunt down a rom and purchase a blank cart.)
Final Fantasy ANYTHING tends to be fun.
Megaman X-X3.
7th Saga
Blackthorne
Contra 3
Demon's Crest
Doomtroopers
EVO
Front Mission
Gemfire
Gradius III
Lost Vikings I & II
Mechwarrior
Metal Warriors
Ogre Battle
Ohab Parodius (good luck finding it though)
Samurai Showdown
Sim Ant
Smash TV
Sunset Riders
Uncharted Waters
No, I don't play a lot of old SNES games... really... ;)
I didn't really like 7th saga.. *shrugs* Samurai showdown for the Neo Geo is amazing tough!Quote:

I think I've seen the rom of that around someplace while looking for an English patch.
Super Metroid rocks....you certainly want that.Quote:

Most of the Final Fantasy for snes kinda sucked except for 6.
Amazing for Multiplayer on SNES = HAving a friend to play with= METAL WARRIORS.
The game is ok on its own, but is awesome in Dual Player Mode. :D **
YES! I love that game multiplayer. Back around when it first came out, me and a couple friends used to hold huge tournaments with pretty much anyone who'd play. To this day I remain the undisputed king of both Drache and Ballistic :1orglaughQuote:

SNES is arguably the best system ever.
With few exceptions in fighting games no system bothers with the 2D gfx. With the capability they have now 2D would be absolutely breath-taking visually.
my faves for SNES are Street fighter II turbo and Star Fox both of which kick major ass
I prefer the Street Fighter games for arcade//dreamcast//ps2.
Street Fighter Alpha 3. BEAUTIFUL.
Very true but SFII is a classic though i prefer the Genesis version to SNES
