As a man, I love it! I don't think I would so much if I was a lady (unless I knew of horny younger fellows like myself). I wouldn't want to be an old fat gay guy either. John Waters said it best: "Skinny is good. I like skinny."
I'm not afraid. I think your interests and priorities change when you get older. It is kind of freaky to sit back and think about it. Only thru experience do you discover what is truly important. I think a lot of times we become younger and freer as we age.
Crimson flames tied through my ears
Rollin' high and mighty traps
Pounced with fire on flaming roads
Using ideas as my maps
"We'll meet on edges, soon," said I
Proud 'neath heated brow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
Half-wracked prejudice leaped forth
"Rip down all hate," I screamed
Lies that life is black and white
Spoke from my skull. I dreamed
Romantic facts of musketeers
Foundationed deep, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
Girls' faces formed the forward path
From phony jealousy
To memorizing politics
Of ancient history
Flung down by corpse evangelists
Unthought of, though, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
A self-ordained professor's tongue
Too serious to fool
Spouted out that liberty
Is just equality in school
"Equality," I spoke the word
As if a wedding vow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
In a soldier's stance, I aimed my hand
At the mongrel dogs who teach
Fearing not that I'd become my enemy
In the instant that I preach
My pathway led by confusion boats
Mutiny from stern to bow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.
Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats
Too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking
I had something to protect
Good and bad, I define these terms
Quite clear, no doubt, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Old in body.. young in mind. Ignorance is bliss..
I remember when I was younger, I was looking forward to turning 18 so much. Now that I'm 18, I don't want my next birthday to come.
Young in spirit thru the pursuit of wisdom.Quote:

Won't really mind growing old.
Very much so. It will be interesting to see exactly how long my body will put up with all the beatings i put it through. I dont look foreward to the day it stops healing abnormally fast. Im not afraid of being old, per-say, but I am deathly afraid of aging. If that makes sense.
I think I will enjoy old age, itll just be hard to get used to.
Not in the least. I've always been an old man in a young body. I want to wear my old suits, hat, and cane...then sit around a park bench bitching about young people as I eat caramels.
It's true, I'm totally more in the closet about that than my latent homosexuality.Quote:

The way we figure age is often less valuable, as people definitely age at different paces.
Anyhow, I feel that as long as I'm young enough to be able to do the things I that I enjoy, I can deal. Most of those things haven't changed since I was 16, and I don't expect them to change at this point.
im actualy looking forward to it but only if i get grandchildren to do my bidding and lique tequila said i cant wait to be old and wear a pimp fedora and suit lol
