Boy, 8, arrested after tantrum

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Police arrested an 8-year-old boy who allegedly had a violent outburst in school, head-butting his teacher and kicking an assistant principal, when he was told he couldn't go outside to play with other students.

The 4-foot pupil was led away from Rawls Byrd Elementary School in handcuffs Tuesday and charged with disorderly conduct and assault and battery.

"It's not something that happens every day," Maj. Stan Stout said of what could be the department's youngest arrest ever.

Stout said the chair-tossing, desk-turning outburst occurred after a teacher, and later the assistant principal, attempted to stop the boy from joining his classmates.

The child was later released to his parents.

They arrest you for that now?

all in all, I guess I was a good kid, never did that............. I think he should have just gotten suspended, being arrested is a little harsh.

Ok. This is fucked up.

1. HE'S EIGHT FUCKIN' YEARS OLD!
2. How much damage could he have possibly caused? A few overturned desks, and a small dime sized bruise?
3. Thankfully the teacher (assuming the teacher is female) wasn't pregnant.
4. continue to fight the man lil' dude.

Have we become so afraid of our children these. Hell when I was a young lad, If we did something wrong, someone would come by to knock us the fuck out. Damn kid would hurt himself more than anything else.

Well luckily, they can't execute them now.

My first day at school I kicked the teacher in the shin...

Now, I am not saying that it was okay what he did, but arrested? That is just insane....an 8 year old is still on the young side and can be taught without having such charges against him.

Looking back now I think I could have spared myself a lot of headaches if I had just whipped someone's ass the first day of school and thereby set the tone for the year.

an 8 yr. old kid pulled a knife at my kids school. he told my girl he was gonna cut her with it. you can be just as bad at 8 as 18.

yeah but it's just too funny to imagine an 8 year old saying " i'll cut you, i'll cut you, man!" haha

Yeah. It's twice as funny when he really does it.
