Im Having A Baby!!!!!!!!

Well,.. not me really my wife is.. She is 10 weeks into it now. She went to the doctors yesterday for a bunch of tests and other stuff. They said I should go next time for the 14 week appointment because we can hear the heartbeat then. Then at 18 weeks I guess the do a sonagram. It strange, creepy, exciting, scary, etc.

So this bring up some questions that maybe you guys can give me some insight on.
names.. I know this board is great for unique names, care to share any?

religion, I know alot of people are into the whole baptize thing. We are very religious but far from christian. We actually dislike christians in general but don't judge a person unless we know them. Then there are a few people we like that just happen to be christian and we try not to hold that against them. So we both agree no baptism for our child! If it wants to grow up to be a sheep it's their choice not ours. We won't force anything on it by "saving it's soul" or "praying for it".
There are some distant family of our that chooses to live their lives that way, we need some good threats to warn them off from a suprise saving when they are watching it.

Another question i've discussed with some already. If it's a boy what do you think about circumcision(sp?). We are pretty much against it. We think but not sure yet. I have one sister (22) in the hipster/emo scene that agrees against it. Also alot of our friends didn't do it to their babys. We like to think with newer parents it won't be so strange to be uncut in america. Then again I have another sister (19) the into the hip hop cool girl scene and she says I will never get laid with an uncut.... I figure if he get to that point does it really matter what it looks like? Then again I was cut as a baby so I don't know what that would be like. Esp. locker rooms in school and stuff. It could be a horrible curse. On the other hand I hear that there are alot of nerves cut off and maybe us cut boys are missing out. I think maybe we could give him the option later in life but that would be tramatic for someone. If it's done as a baby it won't even remember.

I have some other questions but I'll leave it at this for now. Any other tips are welcome.

I suck at naming things. I will spare you the horrible names I have thought of for various projects over the years which Forrest fortunately talked me out of.

I went to high school in Europe and I think Americans are a bit overly worked up about a little bitty membrane. Not sure whether the generation being born now is more likely to be cut or uncut and that will probably make a difference in how people react down the line. Getting cut later in life is apparently really not fun though.

They call Arabelle "bella" or just "bell", and Avaline is..well.."Avaline". :D If we don't call her by her full name, we call her "Ni ni" which is a shortened version of her Chinese name.

And it's fuh-LEE-sha. :D

It's the only place in our college town that welcomes unique types like ourselves. Anyway it called "The Raven" Im sure everyone will assume we named our kid after our favorite pub. To bad how some coincidence like that can ruin a great name. I guess the kid will never know and it will prob. be out of buisness before it can read. Then again we're trying our best to get our shit together, we may fall into the steryotype people expect us to fall into by having a kid named after the local freak bar.
