What do you say when random people ask you "did that hurt?"

I'm really shy and when people come up to me at the store or bank or wherever the fuck I'm at, and as annoying as it is for them asking me "did that hurt?" what do you say?? I usually shrug and don't say anything just nod so they can shut da fuck up and leave me alone but then that only leads them to start talking about their cousins sisters neighbors friend who has her belly button pierced but it got infected. I just don't know what to say besides LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE but I don't wanna be rude. I just wanna know what you guys say. :confused:

I'm a rude bastard, I tell them to go fuck themselves. Then again I tell everyone to go fuck themselves.

be honest. I usually tell them yes or not as bad as this and show them one that did hurt. sometimes they really dont understand the difference between say getting a lil butterfly on their ass and getting a full back piece. youll be suprised sometimes people just dont know any better but it shouldnt get on your nerves. only be an ass to people that deserve it.

i get asked about my septum all the time. I just say yes, and try to get away before I have to hear their responce.

One of the local tat/pierce parlors here has staff t-shirts that just say Yes, It Hurt.

Most of my piercings I actually enjoyed, when you first posted this thread I was confused as to what piercing/tattoo of yours they were referring to... But generally speaking like I said before I tell people that I actually enjoyed them so.. I'm with nudemuse on 'just enough to get me wet' except it woudl be 'hard' for me....

I get sick of that question, too. Seems like I get it almost everyday, I just don't really answer anymore, and give people and annoyed look. :eeek:

I am as polite as possible when answering questions like that. People ask because they are curious, and if youre nice and help them understand even just the simplist question, they could walk away thinking 'wow, those tattooed/pierced people arent as bad as I thought'. Hell it could be a business owner who after that encounter may actually change his hiring policies. Ive had it happen. Everyone in the mod industry needs to educate those who ask for it;]

Hehehe, I've been there since 1997. Living in a city with primitives and suchlikes, I must say that almost everytime I go out they ask me if any of my "unusual" piercings hurted. When I feel like being cynical, I just answers "did it hurted you?" and they go away. When I feel like being a nice gal, I just say "no", cause it didn't. It's so tiring to be asked such question everywhere you go, physical pain hurts all the same, so what's the big deal...?

thats a reallly good generalization.... i like that. but it still is annoying getting asked everyday for the past (with me 7 years) couple years

see I'd ask something like that if I was actually interested in getting pierced or tattooed.

i'm a big fan of "no, my spetum didn't hurt, but boy these nipple piecings hurt a bit" (doing this to a redneck is definently worth it!) or "what do you think? if i hit you in the head with a 16 oz. hammer, would that hunt you fuck?" :D (both of these have been used more then once....or twice.....um, a day.)

I used to be really nice about that question, taking the time to explain the entire piercing process to those people. Now, after having to hear that question for 16 years, I'm flat out nasty about it. The nicest response anyone gets from me anymore is "why do you want to know". If they can actually give me a fairly decent answer, I don't tell them to go away.

lol theres some funny stuff in here......i usually tell them what do u think? someone shoved a sharp needle through me. One thing i cant abide and will tell them to fuck off is when they just grab it and pull it which is what most people do where i live :( :fruit:

I just tell them it feels like a bee sting, and/or I ask them if they have never seen a tattoo before.

I told the personn yes and that they were turning me on. Then again I love pain.

i have trouble being rude to strangers (dont know why, most of them desrve it) so its normally just a 'why the hell do you care?' or 'bite me' (which is just fun to reply to all insults!)
