Getting stuck with labels

So, in explaining what Blue Blood is, people tend to use a lot of labels and sometimes words like gothic, punk, dark glam, burlesque, psychobilly, deathrock, fandom, literary, rock, etc. can be useful to describe it, but I wonder what term truly applies. I think a lot of people are into a similar venn diagram of interests which a lot of people would put different labels on. I'm not a different person at the fetish club or the writers group.
