Oh, I just think a Lincoln chopper is entertaining, I'm not evaluating skill. It's not like I expect TV to really go out and find the very best people to do those shows, but they probably do spur business for a lot of good custom bike builders. However, I know that these sorts of things can be a mixed bag. Mass media attention is sometimes good and sometimes bad.

none of those comments are from anyone who knows about cars.
what car guy would say "it looks like a Pontiac on acid." and the Chrysler 300
is a more of a luxury sadan but with a hemi "Did Chrysler have the head of a cow in mind when designing this car?" anyone who knows mopars knows what they had in mind. :confused:

actually the dudes on cartalk know a shitload about cars thry listening to their show sometime it comes on NPR on saturday afternoons i think they are just making those comments to be funny.

its just that you wouldnt hear that in hot rod magazine or something like that. plus there have been allot of cars from the 40s, 50s, 60s, & 70s that where called ugly at the time but are now worth allot of $$$$ because hot roders know lil bit more than "So ugly, I get mad just looking at it."

I know what your saying but what I ment was that you wouldnt see, hear or read about anyone with any real knowladge about cars talking about cars like that. wether or not you like the design on say a PT cruser you can see that they where going for a classic look with modern styling. most experts would talk about the styling and performance of a car not just say "So ugly, I get mad just looking at it." that to me sounds like it came from some dumbass who has nothing to do with cars.

the point is theese guys are auto mechanic type people/psuedo comedians and all they do is tell people fow to fix problems and make a bunch of cracks about cars and how ugly among other things just because your not some hot rod guy who sees the various influences and stylings and whatnot doent mean you dont know anything about cars

i didnt think it was funny either but i recognized it as an attempt at humor remeber this is NPR where most of its non news content is geared towards towards yuppies and thier lame sense of humor

I dont mind the ones that put a crate engine in. Its the ones that dont do jack to thier own cars that bother me. the kinda guys that dole out tons of cash to have someone else build thier car for them. its not about how much $$$$ you put into a car its how much time and effort you put in. you know what I mean?

Not too many cool looking newer cars out there today, so I find it hard to pick out which one I hate the most. I'm just too much of a classic car fan to appreciate the new styles.

I find the oversized SUVs to be uniformly hideous. Unless you are driving the Pogues and all of their gear up the side of a mountain, it's just so much waste.
Most of them just cruise around from strip mall to soccer field, running random errands at 3 miles to the gallon.

yea hes been my insparation too. there are 4 books on the shop page that I want on techniques of the 50s.
under the munsters photos there is one of Marilyn (Pat Priest) in a leoperd bakini with the Koach. Forrest should do a photo set like that. Scar in front of bad ass car like that would be pretty nice.

Actually, I think a lot of those "ugly" cars are fine.
I think that most "average" cars all look the same.
It's BORING! Look at the cars on the freeway all at once sometime.
They all look so similar...
So I give credit to any automaker that tries to be different.
Even if it turns out ugly.
