newbie checking in

Too bad it has taken me so long to get to this site.
I was a Blue Blood reader many years ago when it just started. I even corresponded with AmeliaG a few times (not that she might remember any of that). I'm an old (58) man who was in the straight life (I cannot tell you how straight I had to be with the job, etc.) for tooo many years. Now I am ready to be me and I am working on who that exactly might be.
I just relocated back to the Washington, DC area (Virginia side) where I had lived for many years. Hope I will not offend anyone who has been in the scene so please bear or bare with me. And please don't let my handle scare you off. I have that handle because I am a big teddy bear kind of guy.
