It's legit.
There is a lot of work going on with preservation, and reanimation.
The idea is that eventually, if you die, you can be cooled down,
flown to some special facility, all your injuries repaired, and then
start you back up, with no bad side effects. They started researching
it when they saw that people who were pulled out of frozen lakes
and rivers, who were dead for several hours, were able to be warmed
up, and restarted, and they were fine. Some frogs are able to be completely
frozen all winter, and then they thaw out, and start back up...
So eventually we will be able to be frozen if we die of cancer,
and kept frozen until they find a cure, and then fixed, then
started back up again... As long as they keep you cold,
you tend to be ok... The test on dogs was just to see if
there were any bad brain problems from being frozen
for a long time, and if you could be restarted.
I don't know if I'd want the basic reanimation package....I'd probably want them to do some military experiments on me then let me loose into the sewers..........lol (points to his title)

I can see how bringing the dead (even for a few hours) back to life can go fucking wrong. i love zombie flicks as much as the next person. im painting a zombie painting right now, but I would never want to be face to face with one. i'd fucking scream and shit myself if that ever happened. I like to think of the brain involved. the brain is the major organ that works the other organs, when ones brain is damaged, one loses things. some people with brain damage DO get belligerant, other problems form brain damage can be things such as lack of reasoning, and even cannibalism (certain functions of the brain keep us form doing the things considered taboo.) and although a couple of hours is a good amount of time to bring one back to life, i will reiterate, what about the people who want to live forever or the ones who miss someone so much they are willing to pay up to bring them back to life after a few weeks or months or years. the brain begins to die after a few hours which can cause permanent irreversible damage. n'uff said.
