I've always had a bit of a dichotomy with attire.
On the one hand, I love to be naked; it's comfortable (save the cold), and looks good, never leaves fashion and while you may get stared at, the looks are often admiring.
On the other, I love hevy gothic style; it's comfortable (save the heat), and looks good, never leaves fashion and while you may get stared at, the looks are often admiring.
So, really, people come 'round to mine never knowing exactly how much I'm wearing- from nothing or just leather pants to trenchcoat, fishnet armsocks, boots, leather pants, two fishnet shirts worn together, studded leather gloves, etc.
however, as going out naked is illegal and frowned upon for a reason (Put it away, Mr. Devito), I tend to go out fully clad as possible-- and part of my daily dress is my comfy leather gloves.
Underneath these I wear some fishnet armsocks, which make the gloves look even better and feel more comfortable. And they remind me of another type of glove I'd love.
Opera gloves! The gloves that go to the elbows and cover any amount from elbow to wrist to elbow to fingertips, depending on design? Splendid things.
For a while, I've been considering makjing myself a pair from leather, latex, or fishnet or such-- but buying a pair online would cost so freakin' much, even if plain silk or cotton or such.
Ergo, I'm wodnering if anyone here has any information on opera gloves or their designs, 'cause otherwise I'm gonna have to make my next pair through trial and error.
So-o-o... do you? :)
