This hit man has a heart of gold – or maybe he just really wanted an iPod.
According to a police report, an unknown suspect armed with a knife forced his way into a Brighton woman's apartment yesterday at 7 a.m., telling the victim his friends had paid him $3,000 to kill her – but he would not.
The 23-year-old victim said she was returning home and unlocking the inner lobby door at 1880 Commonwealth Ave. when the suspect came up from behind wielding a long serrated knife.
He demanded she let him into her second-floor home, did a quick sweep of the apartment, then told her to count to 50. He fled out the back door, leaving her with her life – but without her Sovereign Bank ATM card or her roommate's pink iPod Mini.
Nothing else was taken, although a laptop and other electronics were in plain view.
The suspect was described as stocky, about 30 years old, wearing a green ball cap, white T-shirt and jeans and having a slight accent.
Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

Is their anything these lil devices can't do?
Re: Brighton hit man takes iPod, not life
Ha! iPods are overrated. I would have taken the laptop, instead.
Re: Brighton hit man takes iPod, not life
as absurd as it sounds ,he may have been pretty smart....
a pink ipod will sell like coke at a bad stripclub......
a laptop might not be so easily hawked....
as well as otehr things....
all though i do agree those things are waaayyy overrated...i cant imagine having multiple gigs of music while walking about the day,i'd just be scrolling through them all day and not listing to music....but anyways...
Re: Brighton hit man takes iPod, not life
sheesh, you'd think he could just go to an electronics store..........
I heard a report that in New York, guys are stealing iPods but not to sell them. They're being stolen for personal use.

What a guy. An assasin, a gentleman thief, an a man with an appreciation for the value of portable audio entertainment.
He could rob me any day. Rawr. <3

Re: Brighton hit man takes iPod, not life
