being able to upload pictures to your server.
I'm ok with features (aside from the PM issue). I don't think the site needs any sort of "shout" box... or..anything weird like that.
A legend would be great, to help figure out what those stars mean.
And what happens to contact info in the profile? I put my AIM name in there, but when viewing my profile (or anyone elses) there simply is no place for it to appear!
And the member list is disabled. Which is useless, but you can click on each persons profile (such as music they like or turn ons) and (i think) see who else has that in common. or would be able to if the member list worked. Not sure though, since I am not familiar with this script very much.
and the "quick links" menu. A lot of that stuff is actually important. Maybe a "forum" menu on the left would make things easier.
Otherwise, it's a good blend. Since it's just a community on top of a whole other slew of content, it doesn't need to be full blown, and I like that it isn't.

noooooooooooooooooooooooo! hahaha...there was this old tech site I went to that had a feature like that. Needless to say it was taken down in a week since people would upload it then use link to the image all over the place....just chewed up bandwith...and most who used it where not even active members. Plus picture hosting this day is free or cheap so their is no real need for it. Least that's how I see it.Quote:

I'm kinda happy how things are at the moment...with PM's getting fixed can't really think of what's needed. Plus I like going to a forum that does not have obnoxious "signatures" or annoying little things to make simple posts a mile long.
Well they could always disable hotlinking on this site, to prevent bandwidth hogging.
Pretty sure they could resize uploaded images. Don't hold me to it.
Either way, I agree that I don't think we need it.

Worse comes to worse, I have 20GB of storage and 100+GB of bandwidth to play with. If it seems people need a place to put their junk, I can always alllow uploading to my server and only allow hotlinking to this site.
I don't think it's needed, though. From what I've seen, the forum has been ok without it. I allow image uploading to my server and hotlinking on QDork... which...come to think of it... could potentially be a very bad idea.
what about a "tip jar".....to help with any server cost....
just a simple "paypal-like" thing where we could drop a tip to our lovely hosts to maybe lessen any stress of running the place.....

As far as functionality goes I don't think there's anything I'd like to see.
Feature wise maybe an expanded links of interest section. Not quite promotion but stuff of interest. Clothes, shops, clubs, news what have you.

- Forums: tracking of viewed/unviewed messages/threads stored in database (I view from multiple machines, and it's a pain to go from one to another and lose track of what I've read and what's new)

- Content: I know this will be a sensitive topic to suggest in light of how shabbily you've been treated by people that have claimed to be your friends and collaborators, but I'd love to see an "Amelia and Forrest: How We Do It," under-the-hood sort of feature. Not that I expect (or even want!) you guys to give away all your techniques, but a glimpse into what goes into a photo shoot would be really welcome. I'd love to someday have the seemingly effortless photographic skill you two exhibit.
- General: Some way for me to participate in and contribute back to Blue Blood more deeply — writer? coder? proofreader? cheerleader? :D
i think a java client chat would be interesting although that idea has been shot down in the past i mean yeah im sure there would be flaming and all that kind of crap but itd still be entertaining

A photo gallery, not just for those fucking sexy ass BB gals. But for us attractively challenged members as well. Someplace where maybe people could send you a pic to post. Have a direct link so you could go directly to the gallery, instead of pulling up individual profiles. You could list them alphabetically and have names and captions with each photo.
It's always cool to meet and talk with people from far away places, but it's even better if you can put a face to the name.
then again..WTF do I know.

I was picturing more of a "family album" feel to it. Something specific for pics of members, and events..etc..etc...I want a pic of Amelia brushing her hair. or a good embarrasing shot of Kellie falling down in public..that kind of thing.

A big page of thumbnails you can "pop up" with descriptions, names, or quotes for each pic. :thumb:
