Google's got a messenger service now

I'm trying it right now................ I like it so far. It's only available to people with gmail accounts. But it's cool so far.

I havn't figured it out yet... it seems a bit redundant what with msn and all.

can you search it? or do you have to be added to a contact list like msn?

yeah I was all excited to see they had somethin new comin out....But everyone u talk to must have gmail and its basically a voip type thing....Which is cool but I'd rather type lol

I simply use Trillian Pro...no hassles, no ads, no bloated software package like the evil MSN messenger that takes an act of god to truly shut off.

trillian is good but it have some bugs in it.... It's not fully suporting all options aviable in other IM... even I have Pro version my cam doesn't work in it and file exchange is sometimes imposible...

I always wondered why people have email and messanger trhough yahoo and things like that, doesn't your ISP provide you with an email adress and messanger allready?

Meh, it doesn't have support for the messangers that I want. Trillian's too good to be replaced yet, bugs or no.

And if you want file transfer, just send stuff through gmail. ;P

i run trillian but i don't really like it it lacks way to much of the services provided by the actual messengers. You can't do webcam, which runs best on yahoo in my experience. You can't send files most of the time you miss out on fun things like the doodle imvironment in yahoo and as for the sending friles through e-mail you can only send things that are so large and with aim i can send huge sized files. I use trillian only when necessary as i pisses me off having to not have the convenience of almost any other software.

Feh, I don't have a webcam, and the only huge files I send around is Music-wise, no programs or anything. Trillian's too much of an essential for me because I know too many people with different messangers.

I messed with Trillian for a while...But truth be told, most people I talk to have AIM so it was pointless....I use AIMutation which R0CKz....Been using it for about a year and a half now and it PWNS the standard AIM...

with all these messengers nowadays everybody can learn 3ll3t 5p34k !
