There is nothing that can be said to change the minds of people who are so angry. All you can do is pity them.
I'll state that I am a Christian, but the verses I know all encourage me to be loving and kind, and generally to influence people by living in a way that earns respect and not by attacking people.
It makes me sad to see this, and I don't like the reminder that the name "Christian" has definitely done it's work to deserve it's bad reputation.
By the way, if anybody wants to argue anything religion based with me, I'm always game as long as people want to play nice and actually discuss rather than flame. I'm pretty easy-going and hard to offend.
EDIT: This goes for any religion, not just Christianity, I love to learn and to debate religions in general.

that pisses me off on so many levels. I have family in Louisianna (i'm aware I can't spell on a good day, but i have the beginnings of a migrane.) that lost everything. These are good, god fearing people that go to Church every Sunday and Wednesday. What the hell did my 76 year old great aunt do to deserve that? Huh? Some one tell, cause I still can't figure it out. And don't even get me started on the bullshit the insurance companies is pulling.
