Ahh, the things I do for locks of love...
So, I'm growing out my hair for a charity org called Locks of Love. These guys take human hair and create free wigs for little kids who have cancer, allopeicia, and the like. Bald tots, if you will.
Now, I've got a while before my hair is the minimum length for this to happen (around 12 is the min) so I was wondering if there was any hairstyles that I could have, so I wouldn't look like too much of a dumbass while waiting for my head to finish. Any suggestions?

Inches. Sorry, I should have made that clear
but yeah, any suggesties?

Just wear it long. It's what I do.
And I look exquisite. Honest.
No, seriously.

lots of mousse, a blow drier and some coloured spray?
Re: Ahh, the things I do for locks of love...
Usually I would go and color it blue or red, but LOL would rather the hair stayed its natural color. Plus, I have to be kind of gentle on it so it doesn't rot on the kid after a month.

i just wear mine down, unless im out, then i crack open a few eggs and chuck the white stuff in my hair... feels horrible, smells in the morning, and is nasty to have to sleep with it in, but it dont half make ur hair stand on end.

I wear Mine down or in a tail, but when it is long enough, Locks of Love is My plan as well.. Bravo for You Alexie :thumb:

If your hair is wavy, you don't have to do much to it to make it look fine down, no styling necessary(though brushing is a good idea), if it's straight and you don't wanna put it up, you can work with parting it in different ways.
A friend of mine also did the Locks of Love thing, I think it's admirable :)

My hair is naturally curly, wish I could get it to straiten out, but everything Ive tried is only temporary
Re: Ahh, the things I do for locks of love...
I donated my hair to locks of love in march.. I think I gave them 13.5 inches. As much as I loved doing it, I miss my hair... and being able to do things with it. I donated hair about 4 times now and I think this year was my last. But cudos to you for doing it.
